"That sound like a plan to all of you?" I asked.

"Yes sir!" They all responded.

"How about you, Y/n?" I asked him.

We all turned to him, and saw him throw a sculpture shaped like a female off into the woods, and cleared his throat.

"Can I just stick with Maki-chan, mmh?" He asked.

"Uhh, sure. Just make sure you watch her back, no matter what." I told him.

"Understood!" He said, saluting.

Y/n and I split off from the main group, and like we hoped Mai came straight for me. She brought along a blue haired girl with her, and the duo stared down Y/n and I.

"Y/n." I said.

"What's the plan, Maki-chan?" He asked.

"You take on sword girl, I'll handle Maki." I told him.

"You got it, Maki-chan! Yeah!" He exclaimed, before jumping over me and sprinting towards the girl.

She let out a yelp and started running away from him. He dropped a clay centipede and started getting to work on something underneath his cloak.

She cut the clay bug bomb in half, and causing it to detonate weakly. She sighed in relief, only for Y/n to throw a sculpture of him and I holding hands at her.

"Y/n, is there something you want to tell me?" I asked, deflecting a bullet from Mai.

"U-um, no not yet." He responded quickly.

I chuckled a little, only for my eyes to widen at the sound of a gun firing.

I smirked as I fired a shot at Maki while she was off guard. My smile immediately disappeared when she caught the bullet. She dropped it and hissed in pain, shaking her hand.

"Are you okay Maki!?" The male asked her.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She said rubbing her palm.

Shit, I'm not fast enough to reload before she can get to me, and I can't create any more bullets. What the hell am I supposed to do here!?

"Maki, let me handle this." The guy said.

"What? But I can still-" She began, only to be cut off.

"Maki, go find Nobara or Megumi and help them. I can handle this." The male said with a voice much more serious than he usually does.

She seemed confused until something clicked in her mind, and she nodded before running off. The guy circled Miwa and I, with an oddly predatory manner.

"Why are you so serious all of a sudden?" I asked him, forcing a smirk. If I can make him mad and throw him off his game we'll take him down easily.

"Because I'm really, really mad." He responded simply.

"Why? Because my poor sister got a small booboo?" I asked mockingly.

"Because I'm a curse and I feel negative emotions way stronger than you do, dumbass." He said, glaring at me.

"Tch, yeah right." I said, reloading my gun.

Miwa took her stance, and the guy's hands disappeared into his cloak. After a couple of seconds, several centipedes and other bugs crawled out from underneath, and Miwa groaned in disgust.

He glanced at her, and half of them rushed towards her. She let out a small squeak and sliced all of them simultaneously, only for them to explode in her face and launch her back. He looked back at me, and the rest came for me.

I started running to get some distance while shooting the bugs, only to bump into something. I turned around and gasped at the sight of him standing in front of me.

"Where the hell do you think you're going after hurting Maki and insulting me? I'm going to make you suffer for that, yeah." He said, a dark expression on his face.
