Hey y'all I was asked to put a content warning at the beginning of the book and I think it's probably a good idea and I should have done this sooner.
So please pay attention! I am going over everything I think may need a warning so please know that below is an extensive list of content warnings.
This book is dark, the main character is a slave and is treated horribly throughout the entire book (minus the last two chapters because I promise you all a happy ending).
He is physically and verbally abused. Senes with this abuse are played out as well as mentioned.
There is also mention and indication of sexual assault, there is nothing stated outright or shown explicitly but it is implied and the character will be shown recovering from this
The character also deals with depressive thoughts and some disassociation.
The character has also been subjected to grooming at a young age
The character is also starved through the duration of the story
There is lots of twisted thinking and negative self talk as a result of the main characters upbringing and situation.

While it is dark it did help me through some difficult things and it does mean a lot to me, what I want least in the world is for it to trigger someone else
