The gym instructor, Ms Irene walked in.
Jayden kept looking at me like I was the love of his life.

And his girlfriend didn't really like it much.
"Okay! Jogs around the field people!" Ms Irene instructed.

As we were getting in line to jog, Pete pulled me to his side.

I missed my male best friend.
"Jay is still hopelessly in love with you. Since you left, he's been dating girls weekly and doing this bad boy shit. His girlfriend, Candy, is his first real relationship after you. It's getting to 4 months. But we don't like her much. She gets along with crys, because well crys is accommodating like that?"

I scoffed.
"Why are you telling me this?"
Pete rolled his eyes.
"Didn't you want to know why he was staring at you like you were a risen dead?"
"I mean, I would stare at him if he came out of the blue like that,"

"Your wearing his hoodie girl," Pete reminded me.
"Well when we broke up he told me to keep it!" I whisper yelled at Pete who laughed.
"Sorry, sorry, but I'm just watching out for my best friends,"

It was lunch time, and I just arrived at our table with Josey.
I noticed candy was already there but Jay was no where in sight.
Beside her was crys who was looking like she'd rather be anywhere else.

And Daya was in the middle of Jay and Pete all of them laughing.

I sat down causing their attention to fall on me.

Candy glared.

If she wants to know how to glare, she should meet a pro, like Zendaya.

It was when the others burst out laughing that I realised I said that out loud

"Sorry, candy, my instincts just doesn't like you. Or your glares. Pretty eyes though."

Pity.
Even her boyfriend was laughing his ass off.

She huffed looking at him.
He got back his compusore looking annoyed.

Oh heck no.
"Wait! You are the control freak kind of girlfriend! I'm so sorry hun. It feels like betrayal, huh?" I asked

They burst out laughing. With the exception of Jay this time.

We got back to eating lunch.

"Still in love with chicken, huh?" Josey asked.
"More than my ex," I replied.

They all looked at me wide eyed.
"What? It's not like he cared what I had to pass through. Broke up with me happily." I said, shrugging.
"Yea. Well you don't miss his sorry ass, do you?" Daya asked, looking at Jay.
"Nope!" I lied easily.
"With you sister!" Pete cheered reminding me the reason I loved him.
"Oh well, always with you pipes," Crys said.
"Hoes before dudes!" Josey exclaimed excitedly.
"Wait, why are you guys so close with her. You don't even know her, but you trust her more you ever did to me, what has she done to you all?" Candy asked.
If only she knew
