[I had way too much fun writing this. I finished season 2 literally yesterday.]
What beauty was manifested in the four elements.
Light, which provided safety and reassurance.
Ice, which gave stability and the cold.
Plants, with their diversity and life.
But fire...
Fire was (Y/N)'s favorite.
This witch knew everything there was to know about fire.
Literally everything.
They had been kicked out of school due to their pyromaniac tendencies and been outlawed from quite a few towns because of them as well.
They couldn't help it! Setting things on fire was just so much fun!
But maybe they should've figured out the fire resistance spell BEFORE they decided to light that guy on fire....
Yeah... definitely would've been a good idea...
(Y/N) calmly drew the ring of glyphs around their current hiding place, careful not to step on one once it was drawn, not that it mattered since they had already cast the fire resistance spell on themself before setting up the traps.
These were nice because it alerted them if someone was coming when they didn't want company. They also typically didn't go off if harmless creatures stepped on them.
After drawing the last one, they straighten up, deciding to head back to their hideout, pitying whoever might be the unfortunate soul to set all these glyphs off.
The woods were pretty, quiet and green, making for a rather pleasant walk, making them think of the campfire they left unattended.
They start walking faster.
They knew the resistance spell was wearing off and were rather glad they hadn't needed it this time, (Man, they were really getting better at setting this up!) but if their campfire spread they were going to need to get it under control before they got kicked out of the woods!
Reaching a familiar tree with a fire glyph poorly carved into it, (Y/N) is forced to duck as a spell goes rocketing past them.
"Well, well, well. Looks like I found the outlaw after all."
Whose voice is that? Sounds like a guy who hasn't quite finished witch puberty yet...
The biggest shame is (Y/N) was just far enough away that they couldn't punch the tree and set the spell off.
"I know you're there, ducking isn't going to do you any good."
'What are the chances that setting this guy on fire wouldn't work?' They think to themself, renewing their fire resistance spell in case this guy could reflect spells.
The sound of crunching leaves told them that this guy was walking up to them.
"Ugh, you smell horrible." The golden mask hid the guy's face, and the cloak told (Y/N) this guy was from the Emperor's Coven. His staff looked cool at least.
"Well I'm sorry! I can't exactly shower in the woods!" They argue, flipping over to face him and scooting closer to the tree.
"Well once you join a coven you'll be able to shower all you want." He uses a spell to force them to their feet.
They wave their arms wildly, but carefully avoid balancing themself on the tree.
They just stare at him blankly."Unless you're already part of a coven... what kind of magic can you use?"
