ship headcanons: renga

after the timeline of the anime, reki asks langa if they can meet up at his house, because he's never been there before (and because he wanted to see what his crush's house looks like lmao). langa is excited and nervous af, so he asks his mom for advice again, she starts talking about a girl again, but at least it's advice, so langa takes it.
then reki comes over, and langa didn't tell his mom cuz he was too nervous. so when reki's standing at their doorstep, he's like "that's a friend of mine, i forgot to tell you he's coming over today". she says it's ok and reki stays at langa's place for a few hours, and they have lunch there together (langa's mom cooked). reki says it's delicious and langa's mom says she likes reki a lot, then when reki goes to use the bathroom langa can't bear it anymore and has a talk with his mom that went like this:
"mom."
"yes honey?"
"it's him. he's the one. it's... not a girl."
[silence]
"...sorry..."
"langa. you... you should've just told me. why didn't you... were you afraid? afraid i'd hate you?"
langa nods.
"hate you for what? for loving? being yourself? god, my poor son, love is a cruel thing. come here", and then they hug.
she then says she thinks that he has a good chance, because she noticed reki blushing at things langa said or when their hands touched when they both reached for the water bottle.
so langa confesses to reki after lunch in his room, and reki gets all flustered and says he loves langa too.

- they do movie dates regularly, be it at the cinema or at home, they both love it
- they sometimes do anime binge watching marathons together
- they both can't cook but reki is at least trying to, though he always messes up the whole kitchen, so his mom makes him clean it, and then he calls langa to talk to him over the phone while he's cleaning the kitchen and rants about how he did nothing wrong
