The picture froze on a black shot, much like the audience was at the moment.

Giving time for them to process what they had just heard.

Most didn't move for a full out minute until the guardians started shifting around, their brains feeling uncomfortable with the news.

Tooth's wings fluttered unevenly as she then rested her hands on her lap. Looking into nothingness as she played with some of the feathers on her knees.

Bunny stood up for a moment in surprise before immediately sitting back down with his knuckles to his mouth in contemplation. Then he combed his fingers through the fur on top of his head at his thoughts.

Sandy sunk into his seat until he basically looked like a golden blob.

North did the same along with stretching out his legs which cracked a couple of his joints in the process. He held a large breath, making his cheeks expand before blowing out the air in an attempt to breath deeply.

Jack was in a state of examining her own mental turmoil with this. She had heard the stories of the benevolent warrior of light over the centuries. Nightlight was revered by almost all spirits of the world.

And it was Jack?

Jack Frost, who had been frowned upon for honing the quote-unquote 'season of death'? Jack, who had a reputation of ruining holidays, aka, the blizzard of 68? She, who apparently used to be a he? What was that even all about?!

Soon enough, Emma was the one to shake out of her shocked state first and turn to the older sister. Seeing Jack and the others were still zoned out, she raised her hand out to poke her cold cheek.

"... Jack?"

Jack jumped and accidentally smacked Emma's hand away in surprise, so fast that they almost didn't see her movement.

Emma hissed at the sting with a bit of a giggle, not being able to hold back a laugh at Jack's reaction.

The teens (minus Astrid) and Merida's dad and brothers, couldn't help but chuckle along with the brunette.

Tooth then had a single finger pointed out as she moved her hand around, trying to find the words.

"... Hold on."

"Crikay, yous- hold un!" He put a finger to his lips as he tried to find the words. "Wot! In the oll that es holay-!"

"Nightlight," North spoke exasperatedly. "Dis whole time?"

"No, no no, heh, no," Bunny's mind was moving a thousand miles a minute for him to be able to focus on a single emotion to emote. "No, we would've knawn, right? Monnay would've told os."

"And wasn't Nightlight a boy," Snotlout spoke.

"Actually," Missy chose to cut in once more, "Nightlights don't have a sex or gender, they're people made of pure magic. Nightlight only let people continue to call'em a boy because they genuinely didn't care. It wasn't until Nightlight became human that she realized she was a girl."

The guardians looked to Jack who was still in her own pondering state. She could still hear the conversation around her but she was paralyzed at the rapid amount of emotions flowing through her. She didn't know what to think.

"Why didn't zhe tell us dat?" North asked.

"She just didn't feel like it was super necessary, especially since she knew she was going to have to leave you guys anyway. She wanted to leave on a happy note - without any potential mind boggling news - but after hearing you arguing the night before, she realized she'd never be able to do so for you guys."
