~Esther~

I was shocked. I stood up off of Ash's lap and turned around to face him. "What?"

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He repeated. I could tell he was searching my eyes, hoping something in them would give him a clue as to how I felt right now.

I didn't know what to say. For weeks I had hoped he felt that way about me but I told myself not to get my hopes up and now that he admitted it I didn't know what to do. I just stared at him. "Say something, Esther. Please." He begged. His left hand nervously played with the fabric of his black jeans.

"Please tell me you're serious." Part of me didn't want to know the answer. What if he was joking? I'd be heartbroken.

"I'm serious, darling."

I started nodding and before I could even say yes, he stood up and picked me up. He kissed me as if he had been waiting years to and we hadn't kissed on my front porch an hour ago. I put my arms on his shoulders and wrapped my legs around his waist. The kiss started out fast and filled with need, Ash started slowly trailing kisses along my jaw and down my neck, no doubt leaving hickeys I would have to cover before I went home. Butterflies filled my stomach as I tried not to sigh from how good it felt.

Ash kissed back up my neck and jaw. As he reached my lips again his tongue slid over the bottom one, asking for entrance. I let out a breathy moan and Ash took that as his chance. Not that I'm complaining. Our tongues tangled together as our kissing got sloppier, filling with lust.

I needed to breathe so I broke the kiss and buried my head in his neck. He laid down on the bed with me under him, I dropped my legs so he could be more comfortable and as he readjusted he kissed my neck. "You don't know how long I've been wanting to do that." He said.

"How long have you liked me?" I asked. Has he liked me this whole time and I just haven't seen it?

"Forever." He didn't hesitate to answer. Yes, I guess he has.

After an hour of cuddling, Ash suddenly got up and grabbed my hand. "What are you doing?" I asked him.

"We're going downstairs to watch a movie." He replied. As he dragged me out of his room. We walked downstairs and he told me to pick out a movie while he went to make popcorn.

"Do you have any m&ms?" I asked as he walked into the kitchen.

He turned around. "I think so, why?"

"I like to put them in my popcorn. We can each have a different bowl if you don't like it." I told him.

"Darling, don't worry about it. I don't mind."

As he was cooking the popcorn I went through his movies. I decided on Princess and the Frog since I love the songs. Ash walked in a few minutes later with the popcorn mixed with m&ms. "Did you find a movie?" He asked.

"Yeah. Princess and the Frog." I told him.

He groaned. "I hate that movie. We only have it because my mom loves it."

I walked over to him, took the popcorn and kissed him. "Sorry, Ash. But in my defense, you let me pick the movie."

"It's alright, I won't be paying attention to the movie anyway."

I paused before understanding what he meant and blushing. I didn't respond, instead just turning around and setting the bowl on the couch. Picking up the movie, I went to put it in the player. As I was struggling to get the movie player to open Ash came up behind me and mumbled in my ear. "I'll get it, Mae. Grab the blanket off the back of the couch and just get comfortable, okay?"
