what time was it? no, hell, what day was it? all you knew was that you had gone to bed in your room, and woke up on the living room couch. you weren't a sleep walker, so how the hell did you get here? god, you just never knew where you were. you could've sworn you'd grown up, but here you were as a fifteen year old again. you could've sworn you went to sleep in your bed, yet here you were on the couch. you groaned, standing up. you just wanted to get back in bed. as you lazily threw your bedroom door open, you realized you weren't alone.

"what are you doing here." the boy looked at you, broom in hand. "cleaning. your room was a damn mess, y'know. i was trying to talk to you, but you were sleeping when i came by." you crossed your arms, tilting your head. "draken, my door was locked, how the hell did you get in my house?" he looked at you for a second before resting the broom against the wall. "anyways, i gotta talk to you." you glared at the boy, not really caring what he had to say. "look, you know mikey didn't mean what he said back there." you huffed, plopping onto your bed. "so why'd he say it?" he smiled at you, sitting down. "cause he was worried. i've never heard mikey talk about anyone the way he talks about you. after you stormed out, he went on a long talk with all the rest of the people there about how they have to have your back whether you like it or not."

you rolled your eyes, but before you could respond he continued. "no one thinks you're weak, n/n. takemichi get's beat up every other day, and he's not weak. not physically, at least. mikey's weak sometimes, like when you overdosed. he wouldn't eat until you woke up. me and you both got stabbed by damn kiyomasa, you think i'm weak? mikey doesn't think you're 'some baby who needs protection', you're just special to him and he wants to protect you. i know your upset, but in no universe would mikey ever want to hurt you." you stared at him for a while, conflicted. "so why isn't he here. why'd you have to come here to cover for him or whatever?" god you hated mikey. you hated draken, and hina, and emma, and everyone. you just wanted to go to sleep. you were so tired.

"mikey didn't set me up to this, i chose to do it. he doesn't even know." you stared at his for a while. "fine. i'll forgive him. only cause 'm feeling generous." he laughed at that. "you're totally in love with him, aren't 'cha?" panicking, you grabbed the closest pillow towards you before throwing it at him. "don't say stuff like that! that's not- you- you're the one who's in love with emma!" this time, the pillow was thrown back at you. "don't go puttin' this on me! you're always so sappy, how can you even deny-" you cut him off with a groan, falling forward to lie on your stomach. "oh, draken, what am i gonna do." he sighed, lying backwards so he was pretty much using your back as a pillow. "what are you gonna do? no, what am i gonna do."

"are you kidding? emma's totally into you. you have nothing to worry about." draken sighed. "sure, sure. but you never take the hint either, do you? do we not tell you how different mikey has been since you came around? i've never seen anyone look so in love. and i saw peh and pah hangin' out all the time." you couldn't help but laugn at that one. "okay, that's totally a one sided thing. it's all peh. there is not one heterosexual explanation for the way he acts with pah." the shared laughter eventually died down, fading into a comfortable silence. "sano family really is somethin', huh?"

"wh- f/n! i thought you weren't-" "i changed my mind." ah, christmas. you never really celebrated it as a kid, it's not like you had anyone to celebrate with. you probably cut their little talk short, pushing into the door. takemichi followed behind you. "..f/n, takemichi. what are you doing here?" hakkai seemed calm, too calm. "we're here to stop you!" ah, the blonde was as determined as usual. "takemichi, i didn't have that talk with you so you'd come to stop me. it was so i could resolve my strength! if you get in my way, i'll kill you too."
