"You're safe now." After uttering those words Aizawa had sat in the chair as the child had laid under the bed in silence, it wasn't awkward nor was it comfortable. He felt the atmosphere tense whenever he even shifted slightly in his seat. The teacher tried his best to make conversation but he never got any response. It was slightly frustrating but the man had patience, another reason he was chosen to look after the children. After hours of thinking to himself, he heard a faint almost calm intake of breath

The man was snapped from his thoughts and he stared at the piece of furniture under which the child hid. Aizawa stood and as quietly as he could who walked towards where the girl lay.Sinking to his knees he peered under the framework of the bed. It had seemed that her continuous crying and constant uneasiness had tuckered her out quite quickly, as she had passed out from fatigue, her eyelids being too heavy too keep open anymore despite the fact she was still scared. The child's body was also not used to staying concious for so long, as depressing as that sounded, she was never up and alert for over 2-3 hours at a time, and her body now depended on rest, but not for the right reasons

He shook his head, thoughts fighting as he contemplated on whether to place the child on top of the bed or leave her underneath. In his mind the most obvious thought was to place her ontop of the comfortable mattress, but she was underneath there for a reason. She was frightened and wary. He let out a huff before hesitantely pulling the blanket off from atop the bed, nudging it underneath and carefully placing it overtop the child, making sure not to touch her. He not wanting to wake the girl. He also pulled a pillow from the bed and as gently as he could lifted her head, placing it beneath her head. He tensed as he watched the child stir, her face scrunching and the man sucked in a breath. Aizawa was relieved when he watched her relax and subconsciously clutch the fabric between her fingers

He stood up silently with a sad smile, clenching his fist before heaving a silent sigh, turning on his heel walking towards the doorm resisting the urge to stay. He fought against the thought, he didn't want to accidently wake the child. He exited out into the hall, paranoid scared that the moment he left she'd dissapear, that someone would take her

His brain couldn't calm because despite them recuing the children he couldn't shake the fear of losing them once more. He was scared to lose them to whoever the other group was, he was nervous and anxious. Scared that the  group would appear, without anyone even knowing they were there, and snatch the children away

He continously told himself it'd be fine, she'd be fine, that they'd be fine. In this moment to try and calm his negative thoughts he decided to check on the other child who remained unconsious. Eri hadn't awoke ever since they rescued her and Aizawa had erased her quirk. The doctors informed that the child's body couldn't withstand the immesurable power that had bursted out of her in such a short period of time. The image replayed in his head, the scene of Eri falling limp alongside the smaller who laid atop Midoriya repeated as he walked down the long hall, counting the number of doors he had passed. The smaller child and Eri's rooms being exactly 5 doors away from eachother on the left side
