With hearts of steel
We're still on top
Lost our vision after a day or so
Waited a day, it came around
The world, it didn't
Didn't know how else to spell it out
Tried stealing a crown to put on, look so pretty playing pretend
Until looking in the mirror
Proved
The things we think should be
Are not the same thing as how they are
Challenge it, push it back
Don't let this heavy eyes close yet
Not while there are still clouds in the sky
The sun, even though it slips away
Still has just enough light
To turn those hearts of steel
Into gold.
