Up on the high shelf
Are memories covered with dust
Things I haven't quite forgotten
Things I can't bring me to remember
They seem out of reach at times
But they're brought back with bits of nostalgia
A bit of sadness
But proof
That I've lived
Won and lost
Battles gone by
Shaping me into who I am now
For better or worse
