I decided to participate in some challenge and while I'm STILL figuring out my concept I made two covers. One I like (this one) and one I don't (it's being tweaked).

The challenge was to make a demon

The challenge was to make a demon. That's a very interesting challenge that doesn't give you much limitation but gives direction. So I started my journey.

I wanted a heart (for some sadistic reason), woman and rain. The idea was our modern look at classical art in a way. Something at the edge between classical and mythological.

Palette is in faded, dustier colors because time.

This is the second cover so it's the updated version of the first. Or at least it's updated concept. First idea was Temporis or Time in English. The fear of passing time and our heart growing older and slowly dying because deep down I'm not really a cheerful person. I knew what I wanted to say but the choices of how I want to say it were all wrong. The end result is therefore underwhelming and confusing and I would rather it die and never see the light of day but I'm trying to celebrate my missteps as much as those I consider successes.

In celebration of growth here is the unfortunate mistake I spent way too much time on.

And I feel I should clarify, I don't necessarily think it's badly done from a technical standpoint but that the concept, composition and chosen resources are bad considering what I wanted to portray

The end result is just visually confusing, can't be read from distance and everything is off balance.

I don't want it to seem like I'm seeking praise. I like how I did certain things in Temporis cover and that's why it took me quite some time to actually fully give up on it and build a new concept for time that'll be hopefully finished this week.

I found the good soul willing to adopt this cover, initially named Broken Heart

Shoutout to lavendareyes

And fun thing I realized after rereading the demon prompt is that I should create a demon that'll defeat someone and not give them existential crisis, so I'm back to square one
