In The Skies near Azur Lane
Pacific OceanAn American Air Force C-5M Super Galaxy, painted entirely in grey, soared effortlessly through the sky, making its way towards Azur Lane. Its precious cargo consisted of people, both alive and deceased, with coffins draped in various flags from nations allied with NATO. Among the flags were those of the United States, United Kingdom, France, Canada, Greece, Belgium, the Netherlands, and more, all lined up solemnly in the cargo hold.
The Sous-lieutenant sat in the passenger compartment, still donning his grimy uniform, marked with dried blood, dirt, and black soot from previous explosions, covering him from head to toe. Seeking to combat his narcolepsy, he consumed a modafinil pill, hoping it would help him stay alert.
In front of him, on the serving tray, lay a white paper, an order directing him to join the UN operation called UNRAALPROFOR (United Nations Red Axis Azur Lane Protection Force). His mission was clear - to ensure that the ongoing Civil War between Azur Lane and Red Axis did not escalate any further, and to prevent any ship girls or officers from either side from perishing. He was tasked with quelling the situation using any means necessary, taking full command of the mission without question, as he already understood the reasons behind it. As he glanced around the cabin, he noticed that several female soldiers from various nations held the same letter in their hands, indicating that they, too, were part of this operation.
As he sat there, he stood out among the crowd of officers, being the lowest ranking among them. His face bore almost no emotion, with a bandaged wound on his left cheek, and blood staining the white fabric. The vertical slash over his left eye was now healing, and his battle wounds had been stitched up, some already starting to show signs of recovery thanks to one of his skills.
On the left side of his waist, two black ARF-A gas masks hung, and he carried a tan backpack that housed a mixture of equipment, a brand new uniform, and a peculiar addition - an AN/PRC-152 radio nestled in the largest pocket. The radio sat idly in the empty seat beside him, where his Famas Valorisé, plate carrier, and green beret also rested. A all-black duffel bag, given to him by one of his Commanding Officers back at Outpost 10 of the Pine Tree Line, containing extra clothing, lay on the floor by his feet.
As he passed the time listening to music through earbuds, he noticed glances from other officers, clearly taken aback by his appearance and having seen news broadcasts about him. Despite enjoying the solitude, his peace was interrupted as four female American soldiers approached and occupied his space, one of them taking the aisle seat.
"Are you Second-lieutenant Vogel?" inquired a Caucasian female with blonde hair tied back in a ponytail, her striking purple eyes focused on him. She leaned over one of the seats in front of him, wearing a desert digital-patterned uniform that extended from her pants to her Ops-Core helmet. Her weaponry included a desert-schemed MP7A2 equipped with a silencer, laser sight, and RDS-22 micro red dot sight mounted on a riser, along with a Glock 19 holstered on her right leg.
As she leaned over, she noticed the same white paper she had received, but she also saw that his orders were different from hers and the others'. "It seems we're both on the same mission, and it appears you're our new Commander, Second-lieutenant," she said, confirming her suspicions."Peut-être que je le suis, peut-être que je ne le suis pas, mais je pense que vous êtes assez intelligent pour relier les points, hybride. Avant que vous ne demandiez pourquoi j'ai été chargé de cette mission de l'ONU, c'est parce que j'ai plus d'expérience que vous, sans vouloir vous offenser, et que j'ai de l'expérience avec Azur Lane et Red Axis." He said in a cold emotionless tone but realized that none of them understood what he said so he had to repeat himself in English this time. "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not but I think you're smart enough to connect the dots, hybrid. Also before you ask why I've been put in charge of this UN mission it's because I have more experience than you no offence and I have past experience with Azur Lane and Red Axis." Upon saying this it shocked them as he sensed what they were before opening his mouth again. "You're like me but not as you have a wisdom cube fussed to your bodies but you're not hundred percent a kansen you're a half and half with the only difference between you and me being that you volunteered as well as you only have one or two cubes fussed to you."
