Chapter Eleven: Passing and Planning

Angel's POV

I sit in the hospital anxiously as the serpents pace and try to figure out what to do, I hold Toni in my lap as she cry's her heart out, not only was my fathers trailer shot up but her grandfathers was as well and he's not doing so good

I stroke her hair as we wait for news, I look up and see Sweetpea and Fangs along with many other serpents tapping there feet and walking around combing their hands through their finger

"Forsythe Pendleton Jones Jr" we hear a doctor say, we all collectively get up and I walk over to the doctor

"I'm his daughter, is he ok" I say nervously

"He's stable, he lost a lot of blood so he's going to be here for a while but he's sleeping right now but you can see him" The doctor says and I immediately go to the room and I hear the serpents going with me

I walk into the room to see him laying in the hospital bed, I go over to him slowly and take his hand into my own, I sigh as I look at him but happily smile as I see him breathing on him own, Goni soon excuses herself to check in there's any news in her grandfather

"We need to find out who did this and fast, we almost lost our leader today" Sweetpea says but I continue staring at my father

"Well the next in line has to step up, I mean it's the only way" Fangs says

"How about Angel do it" Sweetpea says causing me to look up and see all the serpents staring at me

"Me?" I say confused as I point to myself, still holding my fathers hand

"Yes, you have been around us and your a natural born leader, you have this and we can teach you everything you need to know an you know what's been happening with your father" Sweetpea says

"Yea and you have insight on your father since you lived with him" Fangs says

"It's a great idea" Another serpent says, all the serpents start making ideas on how I can help, I close my eyes in irritation

"Enough" I shout cashing them all to stop chattering

"You guys are right, I do know my father well and I know how he goes about things and some information from years back but.....this attack wasn't him" I say causing them all to look at me

"How do you know" Fangs says as everyone nods

"This job was sloppy and plus they clearly shot and they raided when they saw no one was here, my father has been watching, I know because that black car that drove off when Fp was found was a car that my father has used many times......hes efficient and this job was sloppy and rushed which means it's someone else" I say as I look at everyone

They all start to think until one serpent looks up with wide up eyes that soon turn angry

"It was the ghoulies" She says

"Your right but who do they have access to guns, they haven't had those since the cops went after them so they had to have gotten them from someone" Fangs says causing everyone to think again

"Guys.......Fp has a secret arsenal of buns hidden somewhere, what if someone on the ghoulies side found it and shot up the trailer park" I say

"Yea but who" Sweetpea says making me think, I look around at all the other serpents to see if any of them look nervous but I see nothing....wait one is missing

Suddenly Toni walks in, I can see tears running down her face but her face is full of rage and hurt as the serpents part like the Red Sea for her to walk in

"Grandpa Topaz is gone" To i says softly causing all of us to feel our anger building up

"We need to find out who did this, because I don't wanna see them breathing after this" Toni says causing us all to nod, Toni walks up to me and I pull her into a hug

This means war

Cheryl's POV (the next day)

I walk back into my room after hours with my father of planning and learning about the family business and now I have homework from not only school but him too

I plop on my bed and open the book full of documents and contracts that he asked me to go over so that I know then history and what to repeat and what not too, I'm staring to regret asking to know more before I say yes to taking it on

I study some of the Information before I give up for the time being, I pick my phone up and check to see a text from Angel

Hey beautiful, I had some very important issues to take care of and still do but I hope to see you soon, I'm sorry for worrying you love 💕 ~ Angel 👼🥰

I smile at the text and reply back with an ok and be safe before shutting off my phone, o close the book with a huff and toss it beside me but a piece of paper slips out cashing me to sigh

I pick it up but something catches my eye

Hiram Lodge underground planning contract

My eyes widen at the text and I keep reading but my jaw drops as the contract continues, I can't believe I was even considering taking the business when my father was hiding this from under my nose

I hear voices downstairs and the door close causing me to put the paper away in the place it fell from and close it shut so it looks like I wasn't looking at it

I walk carefully to my door to listen in on who came into the house, I walk out of my room and peer over the railing to see my father and Hiram lodge talking in the hallway, I hold in a gasp as I see jingle Jangle in my fathers hand

"Hiram I'm happy that this is in full swing, but are you sure that the shooting was not a apart of the plan" My father says, shooting? What shooting

"I'm a sure you that it was not my doing but it certainly helped getting Fp Jones out of the way, now let's go into your office and discuss the Southside...rebranding" Hiram says as they both laugh

I immediately go to my room quietly and quickly, I shut my door and take out my phone  and text Angel

Bear please call me and please be safe, our dad are planning something for the Southside and they may have had something to do with the shooting and Fp being killed or shot idk but pleas be safe~ Me

I sigh as I send the text and hope to god that she's safe and protected, I have to get out of this situation with my dad before it's too late, I just don't want Angel hurt

I don't know what I'd do if she got hurt

A/n ok well this is the last chapter I'm updating today because my brain wants to keeping doing this but my stomach is beating my ass and I need to head and wash clothes so......
