Chapter Seventeen: Something isnt Right

Angel's POV (one week later)

I walk into school holding choni's hands with the serpents surrounding me, we make our way to my locker

It's been a week since everything with Jughead happened and he hasn't returned to the Southside which is smart because everyone is after him except for FP who is still devastated about everything

"So Angel, you excitedly for the game on Friday" Toni says as we all come to a stop and I open my locker

"Yea, it's gonna be cool to play football, I hope I make FP proud" I say as I get my books out then close my locker, Fp told me how good he was at football in high school before he gave it up to be in the serpents

"You will I mean you look...Really good when you play" Cheryl says shyly causing me to smile

My smile soon fades when I feel myself being shoved into the lockers aggressively, I groan and quickly turn around to see the bulldogs walking past with glares on their faces

"What the hell guys" I say but they ignore me before they all are out of sight, I see the serpents staring at them

"Serpents stand down" Toni says as she looks back to me, I look toward Cheryl who looks pissed too

"That's so weird, they never do this and never have" I say as I rub my shoulder that ran into the lockers

"Don't worry about it Angel we'll handle it" Sweet pea says as suddenly Cheryl kisses my cheek and walks off towards were the bulldogs walked off

"Ok well let's head to class" I say as I watch Cheryl walk away before we all disparate to our classes

I walk into lunch and look around paranoid, my teammates have been acting like asses all day, tripping me, throwing things at me, shoving me into lockers and all that over something I don't know

I walk quickly to the lunch line and grab my things before heading straight out, Cheryl said she's going home for lunch and would bring back pops for me if she could, I walk down the hall but soon I'm stopped by my sisters, great

"Angel we need to talk" Veronica says sadly, I look into her eyes to see she's really suffering right now, probably because of dad arrest

"What is it Veronica cause I'm trying to avoid my teammates including your boyfriend right now" I say causing her to sigh

"Dads in jail again.........I don't think he's getting out this time" She says and I just shrug

"Ok and.....is that all you had to tell me" I say causing her to look at me weird

"What do you mean is that all, our father is in jail Angel" She says almost angrily

"Yea a father that's a piece of shit, and he's your father not mine" I say causing her to scoff

"He's our father Angel" she says and I just shake my head after a bit, mom still hasn't told her.....fucking coward

"He's not, trust me......either way I don't care where he is and I know that he's in jail" I say

"How since you've been on the southside so much" Veronica says bitterly

"Because im the one who put him there" I say, Veronica's face pales as she looks at me disappointed

"You what......how could your, he's a good man you you put him in jail for what, revenge on something that never happened" Veronica says angrily, now it's my turn to look at her disappointed
