Chapter Nineteen: Big Hit

Angel's POV

I walk into Fp's trailer feeling exhausted and drained and I haven't even played in the game yet, I collapse on the couch and sigh as I hear footsteps approach me

"So I'll take it the money reading didn't go well I see" Cheryl says as she sits down next to me, she puts my head in her thigh and runs her hands through my hair calming my anger down instantly

"Nope, went horribly....mom wants me to move in again and Veronica said that my "father" never hurt me and what I said never happened so I told her off and stormed out but at least I'll get millions of dollars soon" I say as I roll my eyes

"Well my love...Veronica can suck it and you decide what you want to do, don't let your past control you life, that includes your mom and sister plus aren't you excited about the game" She says and I smile at her and she smiles back

Oh what I'd give to kiss those red lips

"Yea I'm excited....still nervous but only because I now have to prove myself to coach and impress my father" I say causing Cheryl to be my cheek with her thumb

"Well I know your going to be great either way" she says before kissing my forehead, I smile and just rub her arm softly

"And you don't need to impress me....I'm already so proud of you" I hear causing Cheryl and i to look toward the door to see my father standing there smiling

"Thanks....dad" I say as I stand up, I see his smile widen and he walks over and picks me up and swings me around causing Cheryl and i to laugh

This is what I've always wanted as a kid...now I finally have it

I lace up my cleats and stand up as the team and I get ready for the game to start, I get into position on the field and look at the defender in front of me

I lock in and I hear Archie yell hike and I instantly run and juke out the defender and now I'm open, I turn and see Archie throwing to Chuck who catches the ball and goes to run hut is taken down at the 30 years line

I sigh and run to where we line up at die the next play

"Come one let's go" I hear Coach say

"Get them Angel" I hear Fp yell from the stands

"Go Angel woooo" I hear Cheryl and Toni yell from the sidelines with Cheryl being with the cheerleaders and Toni right by

I smile and give them a wink before looking back to the defender and wait for Archie to hike the ball

"Blue eighty...blue eighty.......hike" Archie yells and he hikes the ball

I run my route and juke out the defender once again before turning and seeing Archie once again throw it to someone who isn't open but this time it leads to Reggie getting slammed into the ground

"Damnit" I say, I've been open twice now

Well I would be even more frustrated because Thai carried on to the FORTH QUARTER, with us being down three touchdowns

The offense and I run to coach as he called a time out and let's just say he doesn't look happy

"Archie what are you doing, Angel has been open several times and you haven't passed to her once" Coach says

"But Coach she's new, what if she drops it" He says causing me to roll my eyes

"We need to score Archie....stop passing to Chuck and Reggie all the time, it's getting predictable" He says and Archie just nods and looks to me then to Chuck who nods

I look at him weirdly but the refs whistle takes me out of my thoughts, we get back into the field and Archie yells the play before hiking the ball

I run the route given and I run to the end zone and Archie throws it to me and I catch it as I'm tackled to the ground

I smirk as the crowd cheers and I smile and look to Fp who's smiling proudly and so is coach

One down, two to go

We do the same things and I get the ball more but now I've been getting tackled more and not reaching the end zone as much

I get into position as I see the clock winding down, I hear Archie hike the ball and I run my route and juke out the defender once again, I look behind me and see Archie threw it to me

I go to catch it but suddenly I'm hit hard and land in my shoulder causing me to yell out in pain

"Fuck" I say as I hold my shoulder and push the defender off me, I hear people rushing to me and asking me questions but I try to get through the pain

"Oh my gosh Angel are you ok" I hear Cheryl say causing me to open my eyes and see her, My dad, Coach, and medical staff standing over me

"My shoulder hurts like hell" I say as I look at it

"It may be dislocated, here let's take the pads off" The medic says, I nod and sit up, he slowly get the pads off and see s my shoulder is dislocated

"Great....let's make this quick" I say, I look forward and see Archie, Chuck and Reggie looking at each other, Archie looks upset while Reggie and Chuck look to be.....laughing

Oh hell nah, they have to of done this on purpose

"Ok three...two...one" The medic says and pops my shoulder in place causing me to yell in pain, I feel Fp rub my back and hold my hand while Cheryl rubs my scalp

"Ok let's get her to the back" The medic says as they go to stand me up but I pull away

"Let me play" I say

"What....you just got hurt Angel are you crazy"Coach says

"You want me to prove that I'm not weak right....let me play" I say determined

"Yea but you could hurt yourself worse" He says trying to reason with me

"Yea Angel maybe it's best you leave the game, it's almost over" Fp says

"No cause Coach if you aren't noticed who's over here.....they think this is some kind of trick...that defender came out of nowhere now let me play, I can make it through without getting hit" I say angrily as I look towards Chuck and Reggie and Archie

Coach looks behind him and sees them too, he looks back at me with a fire in his eyes and looks to the medics and to Fp before looking back to me

"Put those pads on and win this game for us" He says causing me to smirk
