Chapter Eighteen: Money Reading

No Ones's POV (Friday)

"So we're all in agreement right, we mess up the play on purpose and she goes down" Chuck says to the rest of the bulldogs

"Yea.....this plan can't fall through" Reggie says excitedly, all the rest of the bulldogs agree  yet they all look to Archie who is exceptionally quiet

"Yo Arc...you with us or not....don't tell me you got loyalty to the serpents since your buddy Jughead is in with them" Chuck says as he crosses his arms

"No...I'm in, I'm a true bulldog" Archie says hesitantly as he nods to the rest of the team, they all nod and give him looks before they all disperse to their lockers when the coaches door opens to reveal Angel and Coach coming out

Angel's POV

I sit in coaches office after practice as he looks at me with a plain expression

"Am I in trouble coach" I ask with hesitation, he stays silent for a bit before smiling at me causing me to look at him confused

"No your not in trouble Angel....I brought you in here to tell you I am so happy I gave you a chance to play, you have been a great  asset to the team and you feel it together" Coach Clayton says proudly

"Wow...thank you coach Clayton....what brought this talk on though" I say confused

"I want to make you team captain but I've noticed that your teammates seem....distant from you and they make see you as weak because your a girl" He says causing me to sigh

"Ive noticed" I say in a monotone voice

"Well I want you to prove to me that you deserve it...it's hard enough that I have to take it from my son, let's see if you deserve it" He says and I nod, we both get up and head out of the office to see the guys moving out of a group and to their lockers

I look around at them and just shrug it off before heading to my locker with a pat on the back from coach, I open my locker and get my stuff out, I look over to see Archie next to me

He looks conflicted and angry which is something I've gotten used to seeing on his face, he looks over at me and glares before looking away but the glare was weak

I ignore him and head out of the locker room and I'm met with Dilton

"Hey D, you here to tell me the good news" I say

"Yes...everything is set up and trust me it should go smoothly" He says and I smile and pat his shoulder before walking away from him

"Thanks Dilton and I'll help you with Ginger tonight" I say turning back to him briefly, I see hims smile making me smile as I head out of the school

I walk outside and get on my bike that I got from the serpents before texting Cheryl that I'm going to the money reading, I send the text and smile before driving off to the Pembrooke

I arrive there and take a deep breath before parking my bike and walking in, I ignore the doorman and get into the elevator, I feel the anxiety consume me a little since the last time I was here

My father was home and we fought for the first time in years

The elevator stops and I walk out and over to my mothers door and knock, the door swings open to reveal my mother standing there, she smiles at me but I walk in and don't pay her any mind

"Lets get this over with" I say as I sit next to my fathers accountant and the lawyer my mother has

"So.....there's good news and bad news, which would you like first" The lawyer says

"The bad news" My mother says as I look from the lawyer to her and back, not acknowledging Veronica at all

"So the bad news is that a majority of the money Hiram had collected was through the drug trafficking business he built with Clifford blossom so it was taken by the government" The lawyer says causing my mother to sight heavily

"Ok the good news now" I say

"The good news is that since he has dependents on his taxes and both of his youngest are not adults....you guys get the rest if his fortune which will be split into thirds....including Angel" The lawyer says causing me to look at him shocked

"Wait he never took me off his taxes or anything" I say shocked

"Of course your on his taxes, your my sister" Veronica says causing me to roll my eyes, I make eye contact with my mother who looks away from me, fucking coward

"Yes your still on them and since he never filed for you to be taken off, you receive 3 million dollars as does your....sister and your mother receives the majority of what's left since she's the primary caregiver and still his wife" The Accountant says as he types on his computer before shutting it

"That's great...it's that all" I say as I sigh heavily

"Yup you all are good to go" The lawyer says and the accountant nods, they both get up and leave as I start to do the same but I feel an arm pull me, I turn around to see my mother

"Angel wait...please" She says causing me to sigh and turn towards he with my arms crossed

"What....here to ask me to move back in now that daddy devious is gone" I say annoyed, she stays quiet and i scoff at this

"It was a thought...he's not here and your ok and safe now" My mother says and I roll my eyes

"When did you ever care about my well-being or my safety because if you did you would have divorced the bastard years ago when you saw him hurt me" I say angrily

"Shut up Angel...your story about our father hurting you isn't true, you just hate him because he didn't want you in the business" Veronica says causing me to go over to her

"Listen bitch because ima say this once, you were never around for the abuse because he didn't want his precious little girl to seem what kind of monster he was....what you saw the day he got him was nothing new to me to our mother who's too cowardly to tell you what is really going on.....now how about you stay away from me because as of today...you are no longer my sister" I say bitterly

Veronica looks at me with the most anger and sadness that I've seen her have, I just shake my head and walk away from her and my mother and out the door

I have a game to get too and a plan to carry out

A/n ok well that was intense at the end, bad blood in many areas in this story lmao btw idk if any of that legal talk I did was accurate but let's just go with it please lol
