Yuuma Fujiki POV

"Oh Makoto~" I sang, walking up towards the boy. He looked up at me nervously.

"Y-yes? Is there something you need, Yuuma?" He asked shakily. I grabbed his hands tightly in mine and he flinched.

"Come hang out with me." I said, getting closer to his face and staring directly into his eyes.

"H-huh?" I didn't answer him and pulled him to my room.

When we got there I opened the door for the two of us and dragged him inside. I sat him down on my bed and laid on my stomach, looking up at him, smiling.

Makoto Naegi POV

Yuuma's bright red eyes seemed to glow in the darkness in his room. I have no idea why he dragged me here or why he was even talking to me. I was beyond nervous. What does he want from me?

"Makoto?" I heard him ask softly. My eyes trailed to his face to see him looking up at me curiously. His usual malicious expression was gone and he looked innocent at that moment. The only thing on his face was curiosity.

"S-Sorry. What was it you wanted to do?" I asked him. He sat up and looked at me before tackling me down onto the bed, making me lay on my back. He rested on his hands that were on either side of my head. He sat on my thighs. I laid there in surprise, not completely comprehending everything.

"Let's chat!" He grinned with his eyes closed. He leaned down and rolled over to lay beside me. "Let's see. Hmmm, where do we start?" He thought aloud, crossing his arms and putting one hand to his chin.

He turned to lay on his side, staring at me. "I-I don't know." I mumbled.

"What's your life like outside of school?" He asked. I looked over at him, only to notice how close we were and immediately turn back away as my face heated up.

"My life is pretty normal. I live with my little sister and my parents-" I began.

"I didn't know you have a little sister, Makoto." Yuuma smiled at me. "What is she like?" He asked. He looked truly interested.

"She's really supportive, she's always telling me to do my best at everything. She's always happy." I smiled to myself.

"What's her name?" He asked me, his voice sounded softer. I looked at him.

"Komaru. Her name is Komaru." I replied.

"I have a little sister too, Makoto." He smiled at me. His eyes seemed to light up.

"Really? I didn't expect that." I said genuinely.

"Yeah, her name is Kirika. She's only five right now, but she's really smart. She's very small and it's very funny to tease her." He snickered. Yeah, I bet he is the type of brother to tease his little sibling. "But," he looked at me directly into my eyes. "I'd do anything to protect her. She means the world to me. But in here," He sighed, turning on his back. "In here I can't protect her. Every day I can't help but wonder if she's okay without me." He looked at me in the eyes again. He looked somewhat sad, but I understand how he feels.

"I know how that feels." I confessed. "That's why I'm gonna make it out of here, we all are." I said with determination.

"Even me?" He asked. His eyes never left mine, and mine never left his.

"Yes." I said without hesitation. He sighed and rolled over and laid his head in the crook of my neck. My face heated up bright red. "Y-Yuuma?" His arms wrapped around me.

He lifted his head up and looked into my eyes again. His hands were on either sides of my head and I looked up at him, confused. He was smirking. I feel like that isn't a very good sign.

"Thank you." Was all he said before he got off of me and his bed. He walked over to his desk and sat down with one of his feet in the chair. He rested his arm on his knee and looked at me, studying my features.

I walked through the hallways on my way to the dining hall. I was going to get a small snack and go back to find something else to do.

All of a sudden, someone pulled me by my wrist and pushed me up against the wall. They pinned my wrists above my head. I looked up and saw... Yuuma!

"Y-Yuuma? Wh-what are you doing?" I stuttered. He had his hair down and it was in front of his face. His breathing was heavy and ragged. "Yuuma?" I questioned him.

"Makoto," He sounded... sad? "Do you hate me?" He asked me, looking deep into my eyes.

"Wh-what? Why would I hate you?" I said. My eyes were wide, why did he think that?

"Everyone treats me like I'm only a nuisance to them, like I'm not even human." He growled, tightening his grip on my wrists. The strength he had made me wince. His eyes widened and he slightly loosened his grip. He sighed and let go, turning to begin walking away.

"Yuuma!" I reached out and grabbed his hand. He flinched and looked back at me, surprised. "I don't believe you're a nuisance." I confessed. He turned his body towards me. His surprised expression didn't leave.

"Prove it to me, Makoto." He ordered. He didn't sound mean about it. He still sounded hurt. He raised his hand up and gently held my cheek in his palm. His hand was soft. My face heated up. "Prove to me that I'm not a nuisance to you." He leaned closer. He closed his eyes and leaned his forehead against mine.

"I don't know how to prove it to you. I enjoy being around you, even though you have your own flaws. Everyone has flaws though. I really like you, Yuuma." I looked up into his eyes as he opened them.

"Can I try something?" He asked me softly. Since when is he this gentle? What happened?

"U-uh, sure." I said nervously. I didn't know what to say. I felt like I couldn't say no to him.

He slowly leaned closer to me and gripped my waist in his other hand. His breathing grew heavier. He leaned his lips down to mine and carefully kissed me..! My eyes widened and I froze.

His other hand held onto my other cheek and I closed my eyes. Slowly, I began to kiss back and I held onto him.

I woke up with a small scream. I instantly sat up and started panting. I heard a small snicker from the left. "Wow, what were you dreaming about?" I turned and saw none other than Yuuma himself. He was giving me a lazy smirk, like he knew what I was dreaming about.

My face went redder than a tomato. "N-nothing!" I yelled. This is so embarrassing! It's even worse that he's right here in my room- wait... "How did you get in my room, Yuuma?" I questioned him.

He paused, but kept his cocky smirk. He stared right into my eyes and pulled a key from his pocket. "I snatched this from you earlier. You're very easy to steal from." He admitted with a wink.

I gasped and quickly began checking my pockets. I heard him laugh ferociously. I deadpanned at him. "When-"

"This morning in the cafeteria, when I "bumped" into you." He stated, using air quotations. "You sure do take long naps, by the way. I've been here for hours." He teased.

I sighed and rubbed my face with my palms. "Why are you in my room?" I asked.

He chuckled at my defeat. "Well, I have to return your key eventually, right?" He tossed it to me and stood up from my desk chair. "See ya later, Makoto." He sang as he began leaving.

When I heard the door close, I looked down at my hands. "Damnit." My thoughts went back to my dream. He looks really good with his hair down, too...  My eyes widened at the thought. I groaned and laid back down.

This was very awkward for me to write. I don't write things like this!😂 It's weird to me. But honestly, Yuuma is one of my favorite characters. He's really funny.
