It was a typical day in the Varia mansion. Mammon was gaining money, Lussuria…he was being himself and that’s creepy. Levi got hit by a glass bottle thrown by Xanxus, no surprise there. I swear, the fact that Levi went to try and make a normal conversation with Xanxus marked an “Are you challenging me?” look on the boss’ face.
I, sitting next to Squalo, watched Fran and Bel’s usual bout. “Bel-sempai you’re so predictable, always throwing knives in the same places. You must be in a rut” Fran said emotionlessly.
Bel had the same “are you challenging me?” look as Xanxus. “Don’t tempt me to throw these elsewhere on you” he said, laughing his original laugh.
“…Fallen prince” and the fight was on which ticked off a certain long haired shark.
“Vooooooooi! Shut up and don’t bother me!” he yelled, clearly irritated.
“Ugh, quiet down, you’re giving me a migraine with your midrange voice” I said, rubbing my temples.
“Midrange?!” he yelled, standing up. “Are you challenging me?!”
I stood up, getting in his face. “What if I am?!” shouting louder than he did. “It’s always ‘voi this’ and ‘shut up that!’ You think I’m challenging you?! You’re the one testing my patience! So let me ask you, are you challenging me?!” I huffed at him.
He blinked, speechless for once as I walked away. Bel laughed. “You got owned”
His eye twitched. “Vooooooooi! Shut up before I slice you!”
