"Molly!"

She dropped her phone on the floor and covered her mouth with a trembling hand.

Nick dropped the egg in his hand and rushed over to her. His hands held her shoulders. "What's wrong?" he asked anxiously.

She tried to calm herself to speak, but she couldn't.

His eyes searched her face for some sort of answer.

Broken up and shaky, four words came out of her mouth. "We have to go."

"Okay," he answered in a soothing tone, still unsure of what had happened.

Her stomach fluttered as she breathed too quickly for herself to keep up.

He rubbed her arms. "Where are we going?"

Her forehead dropped onto his shoulder, and she cried.

He ran his hand over her head, waiting.

"Oliver." She gulped. "Oliver was in a bad accident. He's in critical condition. We have to go."

Nick took a minute to process the news but hugged her tighter as he did. "We're going, don't worry," Nick said softly and then called for Dan.

"What?" Dan ran into the kitchen.

"Get me my keys. I need you to stay home with Sammy. If you need anything, call Liz."

Dan froze in place. He never saw Molly cry, and now she was hardly able to breathe.

"Dan! Now!"

He snapped his attention back to Nick who was hugging Molly on the kitchen floor. "Yeah, okay," he shook his head and ran up to Nick's room for the keys.

"We have to go now," she repeated in a cry but found herself confused in the sudden harsh reality.

"We are," Nick said in an assuring voice. "We're going now."

She didn't react. She didn't hear his response.

He lifted her up with himself; she was like dead weight.

Dan was outside with the car started. Nick helped her to the passenger's seat and buckled her in before climbing into his seat. He rang her mother to find out where Molly's older brother was taken to and sped off.

The drive to the hospital was an hour long. Molly didn't say anything the whole ride. She didn't cry anymore either. She just had a blank stare straight ahead.

When they pulled into the parking lot, Molly manually unlocked the car door and hopped out of the slowly moving vehicle. Nick parked the car in the first parking spot he found and chased after her. She went through the doors and asked for information at the desk. Nick, however, saw her parents around the corner, and once he caught up to her, he guided her to them.

"Sweetheart!" her mother cried.

While her mother held onto her, Molly looked at her father. The light was taken from his eyes. He looked helpless.

"Dad?" she whispered.

He looked at her but shook his head and walked off down the hallway. She knew he didn't know where he was going.

"What exactly happened?"

"I don't know," her mother cried and wiped her face. "I was called to come right away. They told me he was still breathing," she barely squeezed out as a cry took over.

"Where is he?"

"In surgery," were the only words her mother managed to get out.

Molly nodded while she pressed her lips tightly together.
