2 weeks later

Me- I know mama, you will see daddy later I promise he had a meeting to get to

Layla- ugh could you tell him to sign me out early

Me- Baby, he will pick you up he has another meeting at 2 so he probably won't be able to get you early

She pouted

Me- be a big girl Lay

Layla- okay tell him I miss him so much

Me- lol I will stink

Layla- by baby see you after school

She kissed Kairi than me and ran to her line

This girl and her daddy, she acts so sad if he doesn't drop her off and pick her up like dang can mommy get some time with you lol

Me- why you winning fatty

Kairi was in the back seat having a fit when Layla left. That's because she talks her ear off the whole ride to school. Layla loves being a big sister. Our baby a month now it's crazy and time is flying I'm just so ready for these six weeks to be up and so is Dave

I pulled up at home getting Kairi out I had so much stuff to do for work so Ruth was here to take Kairi for a while

I walked in with baby

Ruth- Hey loves

Me- hey Ruth thanks so much for coming

Ruth- oh child please, give me the princess

Me- here you go, I'll see you soon stink

She smiled as I rubbed our noses together and I passed her to Ruth

I headed to my office getting right to work

An hour went passed and I finished all my meetings for my office and Dave's since I'm still the marketing lead Im already knowing Dave was not about to hire nobody so we rolled with it

I decided to call Dave he has been working so hard lately and even when I try to get him to take a break he just say he need all this stuff straight so he can spend as much time with us as possible since he going out of town soon

Me- hey daddy you're good you look so stressed

Dave- I'm stressed as fuck Faye I'm tired of fixing mistake after mistake so people getting fired left and right I don't have time for this shit at all

Me- I'm sorry you dealing with that let me help somehow baby

Dave- I don't need you stressing baby im handling it it's just frustrating

Me- I get it, your daughter was not happy this morning

Dave- Im already knowing a nigga got tied up this morning I wanted to be there to drop her off with you

Me- I helped her understand she said you better pick her up though

Dave- lol I will how you feeling

Me- I'm feeling good baby I just want you to be stressed free

Dave- I'm trying

Me- what you got going on for the next hour or two

Dave- I'm wrapping up some paperwork than I got a 2:00
