Emerald's POV

It's been a week now and there are no signs of Elder.

I've been getting along with Drake as he kept on filling me on things I didn't know.

Walking down the stairs, I see Drake eating breakfast.

"Quite slow for someone who's supposed to be in school."

Mum had gone to work since thirty minutes ago twenty five... Oh twenty six... Seven seconds.

"There's still time."
He said pointing to the wall clock.

I laughed like crazy.

"What's so funny?"
He asks with his face laced with confusion.

"You!" I said between laughs.

"Me? How so?" He asked still confused.

"I set the time thirty minutes slower after mum left." I said.

"You didn't even come downstairs." He says.

"Yeah I didn't but... I have the ability stopping or rather slowing time. You know Chronokinesis. I wanted to confirm something." I say excited.

"You're joking right?" He asks checking his phone.

"Geez!!! Emerald this is all your fault."

"Of course not. I guess it's 7:30 am. I bet you would make it. That's so nice. Just stay. I won't be bored anyway."

"Thanks but no thanks. I'm staying though. I can't afford to be punished." He responded.

"Why? Because of your ego? Yes! Just telling you I'm starting tomorrow." I informed him in enthusiasm.

"Starting what?" He asked

"School of course. With you to be precise." I added.

"You??" He asked surprised.

"Yes, Me."

"Oh." He said in realisation.

"Oh." I mimicked him.

"Let me tell you about everyone so you won't be lost."

He brought out his phone to show me a group picture.

"This is our school. No one knows about the news on why you didn't come to school for three months so you can make up an excuse."

"Don't worry about that. I'm a professional liar." I boasted like it was worth showing off.

"Good for you." He said.

Was he being sarcastic?

"This is Melinda. Your good friend." He described.

"Good friend not best?" I asked

"I'm your best. Back to discussion. She's nice, studious, beautiful..."

"And you like her!" I cut him off grinning.

"No! Listen!" He scolded.

"This Melanie." He said pointing to her.

I nodded.

"Twins."

"Yes". He answered even when I didn't ask.

"She's sassy, wicked, rude, a bully but beautiful." Like he was expecting my reply, he cut me off before I said thought ofanything.

"And I don't like her."
