I Understand Now

I woke up to yelling and screaming. I looked over to see that Sonny wasn't in his bed. He was the one yelling.

I could tell it was him, Essa, Father, and another man.

I heard my name all over the place until everything went silent when someone asked, "who's Ellie?"

I waited for everyone to start yelling again but no one answered the man's question. "Why don't you go in her room, she who she is?" I heard Essa growl.

With that, the door opened and it was a boy. He looked at me as his cheeks got red and I felt mine burning.

"Im Jack"

"Ellie"

He smiled, "I like that name."

"I like your name too..."

He laughed a little. "Sorry about my sister yelling "

I looked down, "what are they yelling about?"

He shrugged slightly and sat on my bed. "You sure are pretty"

I didn't really know what to say back.

"You too?..."

He laughed.

Im glad he didn't really pay attention to the names on my walls.

His black hair matched everything he was wearing. He also had blue eyes like Essa.

I didn't talk.

"How old are you? Im fifteen."

"Thirteen" I said.

"Jack let's get out of here" I heard Essa scream.

He hugged me. "Your coming with us tomorrow right?"

"Huh?" I asked in confusion, Jack opened the door. "Bye" he said.

"Bye..."

My cheeks were burning. But what did he mean by "coming with us tomorrow"?

A few minutes passed and Sonny opened and slammed the door and bursted into tears.

"What the hell? What happened?"

Sonny looked up at me and hugged me. "I won't let them take you....I won't, your my sister. I won't let them lay a Hand on you, I won't let them take you Ellie I won't."

I understand now.
