3 days left before prom.

- Jisoo's POV -

That's the only thing on my mind at this very second. No, not because I'm excited to wear my long, tailor-fitted navy blue gown; or because of the immense and sheer bliss I'll probably experience during the night.

A lot of the past seniors of our school always said that the part after the principal's speech was going to be the best. They always described it as just pure fucking fun. Not the bobbing your head to the loud EDM music playing on speakers fun, but it was the shaking your ass and flipping your hair kind of fun. Needless to say, there's really only one thing I'm truly looking forward to...or I guess a lot of the boys in our batch will be looking forward to and that is:

Asking Jennie Kim to dance with you during the slow song.

"Can you believe it? We're finally saying goodbye to high school!" Lisa exclaims, smiling triumphantly while we walk to the mall entrance, "Who would've thought that the time would finally come?"

"And who would've thought your brain could advance after seventh grade?" I teasingly say, which earned me a glare from Lisa, "What? I'm still gonna be proud of you either way! May you be stuck in seventh grade or graduate with me. But thankfully it's the latter that's gonna happen"

"You're so full of boogers, Jisoo. Anyways, has anybody asked you to prom yet? I heard some boys yesterday that Jinyoung might ask you out!"

Oh gosh, not him. I shake my head and look at Lisa with this "not happening" look. Lisa nudges my shoulder and tells me to just say yes to anyone if ever simply because it's prom and everybody at least deserves to not be rejected by the person they're promposing with, which to me is just not happening. Like come on, would I really risk saying yes just because I don't want them to feel bad? No, and Lisa knows that. But what she doesn't know is my crush, no, admiration for her fellow dance club member.

In an attempt to shift the conversation back to anything, I just agreed and agreed to what she was saying even though I admit I kinda spaced out after the 3-second mark of her pushing that agenda on me. A few moments later, we arrive at Paris' Palace. It's where Lisa bought her dress. The lady told her to go back on the weekends to make the final bits of adjustments.

Upon entering, I sit down at the cream-colored cushion in the center of the store. I look around the place, gazing at the many beautiful gowns that were hanging on the racks while Lisa drops me her small backpack before fitting her dress.

Vanilla and the smell of new clothing. Those were the things I vividly seem to smell here and I'm not complaining. The place is beautiful too, like a small palace (hence the name). Moments later, the sound of high heels tapping on the floor emerged from the side. I shift my attention to it and saw Lisa now wearing her prom gown. A striking jet black sleeveless and backless gown. She does a little twirl, tip-toeing as she did before being halted by the lady. Lisa smiles as the lady fixes the hem of her gown, inserting some pins, seemingly taking mental notes, those things. Then, Lisa looks at me with her big smile,

"Soooo? Thoughts? Gorgeous? I know!"

"I haven't said anything!"

Lisa chuckles, "I pass you the mic then, my friend!"

I laugh before composing myself. I sit up, crossing my legs and squinting my eyes to inspect Lisa's gown. She twirls lightly and does these weird funny poses.

"I have come to a conclusion!" Lisa strikes a pose, one last time, "I love it!"
Lisa smiles at the lady and giggles. She looks at me again,

"Just as expected! Now, all we have to do is pi-"
