Wishful Love

I write poems when something big could happen,
Setting the scene, depicting more than you can imagine,
If my heart had a simple lock and key,
I'd give both to you, as you're elegant like the sea,

Perhaps the sea is too rough to describe you by,
I was imagining it's beauty on the sunniest of July,
And if you think of the ocean as an eyesore,
I'll see in you like the mountains, evermore reason to adore,

If you're not enjoying this theory of scenes,
You're like a virtual reality character, never to be seen,
Inevitably perfect, by nature and heart,
Not even the prettiest of looks could play your part,

I realise we've only recently came into contact,
Trust that my feelings for you are abstract,
I'm not saying that I've fallen in love,
But you're closer to me than any feeling mentioned above.
