Space

I used to tell myself I'm not good enough,
So I built my feelings up, becoming tough,
My mental state was out of order,
Causing you to put up borders.

These barricades keeping me away,
I'll knock them down, to bring you a bouquet,
A bouquet of stars, truth and promises,
Maybe one day we can become accomplices,

But for now I doubt every question I ask,
I reflect on the future and regret the past,
The mistakes I made, I'm scared you'll replace,
Trade out my heart, when you need space.
