walking into her house, mandy lets go of malachi's hand and he runs over to the living room of the run-down house happily turning the TV on.

"well doll, do you need me to fix some supper?" coach Killbury asks as she rummages through the fridge

"am i allowed to say no?" Mandy chuckles and Ma shakes her head with a smile

"what'ya feelin' kai?" the older woman asks and Malachi furrows his eyebrows in thought

" how about pierogi?" the little boy asks and Ma chokes out a laugh "you have to give me a heads up if you want pierogi silly" Ma shakes her head and Malachi thinks again

" homemade pizza!" he all but shouts and Ma nods in approval "now that i can do, we can have pierogi this weekend how bout' that?" she asks as she takes out the ingredients. Malachi smiles and nods before looking to Mandy "can boo come?" he asks and mandy chokes on her words

"i don't- i don't know i'll have to ask but don't get your hopes up" she smiles to him and he nods snuggling into her side

mandy feels her phone vibrate and she picks it up looking at the caller ID

her smile fades as she sees the name hesitantly she picks it up

"hey boy scout" she whispers trying not to disturb her brother

"hey" he breathes she can tell he's nervous

" i think it's better we have this conversation in person" Mandy says softly and she hears Ranboo hum

"yeah, that would probably be best" he mutters his voice grown tired

"i'll meet you tomorrow okay?" she smiles and the sound of blankets can be heard

"No!" he says quickly making Mandy flinch

"No?"

"No" he says softly and Mandy gives a nervous chuckle

"okay, well, when do you wanna meet then?" she asks skeptical

"Tonight" he says without hesitation. Mandy blinks "Tonight?" she looks over to ma who is putting cheese on the pizza and chews on the corner of her bottom lip

"if you can" she can hear his smile in his voice and she sighs

"where?" she hears a sigh but cuts him off "this doesn't mean i'm coming. i need to know if i can make it"

Ranboo hums " Toby's house" he speaks fast and Mandy's eyes go wide

"Like Tubbo?" she asks the name familiar on her tongue

"yeah, thought you'd like to see them" he mumbles

"them?" she questions and ranboo snorts

"nothing gets past you"

Mandy smiles at his laugh and looks down to Malachi who was playing with her rings

"you wanna say hi to kai?" she asks and Malachi's head shoots up

"who is it?" he asks making ranboo chuckle "yeah sure" he says and Mandy hands him the phone walking into the kitchen

"do you think you could stay the night? there's something i need to do" mandy cringes and Ma nods

"of course!" she smiles and Mandy gives her a hug

"What's this something?" she asks as mandy was about to walk out.

"uh- just meeting an old friend" she smiles "we need to figure some stuff out" Ma nods before placing the pizza in the oven.

Mandy walks back into the living room and sits back in her spot, malachi leans up against her with the phone in front of his face.

"what are you doing" she furrows her eyebrows looking at the phone

"face timing boo" he says nonchalantly and Mandy's eyes go wide before snatching the phone

"hey!" he pouts

"hold on let me ask a question then you can have him all to yourself" she chuckles looking back into the phone

"what time?" she asks and Ranboo smiles

"anytime" Mandy glares at him before scoffing and handing the phone back to kai.

all with a smile on her face
