as Mandy's phone blares the song "medicate" by Theory of a Deadman she sparks the lighter and drags the smoke to her lungs. holding it she offers to anyone and they all shake their head besides tommy, he takes it and hits it with ease leaving mandy's jaw on the floor, a startled smile beaming at him

"what? you didn't think we were all goody -two- shoes did you?" he snorts and exhales the smoke.

"No but i was expecting boy scout not you cookie monster" she ruffles his hair and he pushes her hand away playfully

scars by papa roach  blasts and mandy throws her head back "i love this song" she chuckles taking another drag and smiles

Ranboo leans back on his palms listening to the girl quietly sing the song

Mandy squints as the second "i gotta move on with my own life" hits and rocks her head back and forth she smiles as the song ends and looks to Ranboo who had a small smile on his face

"what's the worst thing you've done?" Tommy asks abruptly making Mandy chuckle

"Xanax" she nods and Tommy chuckles

"non drug related?" Mandy sniffs from the cold air and thinks

"going to Hayden's party sunday" she scoffs bitterly. Tommy furrows his eyebrows and Mandy shrugs

"it's not important" she mutters taking a drag from the joint and lays down on the fake grass

Tommy looks over at the girl, her hair spread out on the grass, squinting his eyes he could make out two bruises on her neck

"andy sit up for a minute, would you?" Tommy asks and Mandy flips him off. Tommy grabs her hand and pulls her forward. Mandy lazily sits up and stays still until she feels a hand move her hair, instinctively she hits the hand away

"why are there bruises on your neck?" he asks and mandy glares at him

"it's none of your business" she quips and a pang of hurt flashes over tommys face. he retreats his hand and picks at the fake grass

thats when Mandy realized, things aren't the same anymore, hell their looks proved that. their different people with different shit in their lives. they've all been through shit she wouldn't know about and couldn't empathize with. she hated change, it made her wanna hide. with that in mind, she sniffs and grabs the carton. "it's late i'm gonna head back" she gets up and starts for the gate

hearing the crunch of rocks she looks behind her and sees ranboo with a confused look on his face

"i'll talk to you tomorrow right?" he asks, almost unsure. Mandy looks at her feet and slightly shakes her head.

"thank you for talking with me but, i think it's better if we just go back to how we've been the last three years" she looks at his shoes

he sighs "worth a try" he shrugs and Mandy looks up at him

"it's best if we move on" she chuckles sadly, ranboo nods and pulls her into a hug, Mandy hugs him tight not wanting to let go

"goodbye Blondie" he smiles and she gives him a tight smile

"goodbye boy scout" she whispers her voice breaking

she walks off the driveway and plugs in both headphones blaring "lost in you" by three days grace
