You had made the coast safe in the last year, at least from the deviants. Human conflict always found the people you were with, but you were not allowed to interfere.

You had adjusted to life on Earth well, the people thought of you as gods and welcomed and respected you with open arms. Humans continued to advance slowly, even within a year.

You and the rest of the eternals had grown close to one another, you were a family now, not just a group of soldiers. You were welcomed into the villages of the desert people in the Middle East, you lived and worked with them and protected them.

You all gathered in your ship, that became a home for you all, early one morning. Phastos was working on his astral forge as Ajak spoke, "and what have you created for them, Phastos?"

Phastos smiled and gestured to his creation, "it is an aircraft, because it allows them to ride the waves of the air." Phastos looked at each of you proudly waiting for your reactions.

You smiled at him, "don't you think this will scare them?"

"They are still using stone tools and you think an aircraft is a good idea?" Druig asked with a laugh.

Phastos shrugged, "I made it a little less advanced than our ship," he explained.

"Do you have anything, I don't know, a lot less advanced?" Ikaris asked from the corner.

Ajak put her hands up, "alright alright," she said walking up to Phastos, "what else have you created?"

Phastos hung his head and swiped through his projections until he landed on a flat tool made of stone, "I call it a scraper, because it is just a rock that scrapes stuff."

"I am sure that it will be put to good use," Sersi encouraged.

"Yes, there is a group of villagers that have been preparing animal hides for clothes, I am sure they can use it," you responded with a smile.

Phastos waved his hand at you, shooing you away, but smiled. "Alright, the rest of the day is yours," Ajak said, pushing you all out of the room.

You laughed and smiled with the others as you walked out of the ship. Ikaris sidled up beside you, "have any plans today, (Y/N)?"

"I was actually going to go practice with Thena, I think Druig and Makkari were going to join if you would like to as well," you answered.

"Do you really need more practice?" Ikaris asked.

You nudged him with your shoulder playfully, "I do if I want to beat you."

He smiled and pushed you back, but kept walking with you. Ikaris was a close friend, he took an interest in your powers when you first arrived on Earth and it steadily grew into a friendship. He was always protecting you, he was like an older brother you never had.

As you all exited the ship, you split off and went about your own business. Kingo and Sprite went to the gathering tent in the village, Sprite liked to tell stories to the villagers and Kingo always enjoyed watching them. Thena, Gilgamesh, Makkari and Druig all turned off to go towards the open fields away from the village, but they waited for you before getting too far. Sersi wandered off to the fields to help the workers, she was always in love with the people of this planet and spent as much time as she could learning their ways.

You turned to join the Druig and the others, but Ikaris paused looking back towards Sersi. You took a few steps closer to Ikaris and lightly punched his shoulder, "go after her," you encouraged gesturing towards Sersi.

Ikaris shot you an embarrassed look, "no, she likes to help the people."

"Then learn how to like helping them too," you said, "she may be unchanging, but she won't wait forever."

Ikaris nodded and then smiled before running after Sersi. You smiled and turned, joining up with the others.

"Ready to spare, my lady," Druig asked as you fell into step with him.

"Only if you're ready to lose," you teased him, nudging his shoulder.

You laughed and made your way to a clearing well away from the village. You had all used this place to practice and spare with one another so there were already trees and rocks laying around making a sort of training facility.

As you entered the circle, still laughing with Druig and Makkari, Thena quickly turned around and manifested a spear and threw it at you. You ducked out of the way, rolling on the ground and stopping in a crouched position with one leg out.

"Dibs on (Y/N)," Thena said with a mischievous smile.

The others backed away with a laugh and took a seat on some rocks out of the way of danger.

You pulled out two daggers and pulled yourself back up into a standing position, facing Thena, "oh this is going to be fun."
