Eden club, London, 1921:

T H E next day after having learned that Tommy was attacked by Sabini and was injured, Eleanor hadn't slept a wink, and even when she did manage to fall asleep, all she did was have nightmares. From Charlotte to Tommy, the dream was scary. She wasn't chased by demons or getting slayed by bad men, she just dreamt meeting Tommy again and him drowning her until all of her breaths died out. Then she dreamt Lottie running around happily, and although it was a nice dream, something after it left Elle feel numb.

Elle could remember the two dreams coinciding, she remembered Tommy's blue eyes visible even if she was under water as his hands held her neck tightly, and her whole body emerged into the depths of cold as ice water. Elle tried to forget that nightmare, but it would take more time than a few hours. She tried to tell herself that it had been only a dream, her fears manifesting in her sleep, but the real world itself seemed like a one big nightmare, especially when Nina took Elle and drove her to Sabini's club again, for whatever reason, she had no clue.

She, however, dreaded to see Darby, she knew he was well aware of the rumours that surrounded the blonde, but Eleanor had held her ground with that man before. Nina was clear that Elle was off limits for the man to take, even if lately, Elle did notice something strange within Nina. Something was happening and Elle felt suspicious.

Elle couldn't stop thinking about Tommy too. She hoped he wasn't in a critical condition, because despite wishing to never see him again, deep down Elle would always care for him. She loved him, she wanted to make sure he was alright, because if Tommy was to die, Eleanor knew she wouldn't survive this loss.

Eleanor wanted to just hold Tommy's hand and tell him that everything would be alright, but couldn't and instead of being with a man she loved, she was in Sabinis's club, standing by an empty bar since the club was closed during the morning time. A few workers did walk around, Elle leaning against the bar top as she looked at her surroundings carefully, waiting for Nina to finish her business with Sabini.

A young man working behind the bar kept walking back and forth, leave the bar then come back and after a few visits Elle began to believe he was fancying her. She continued to rest her arms on the bar top, her back stretched as she watched the man walk back and go behind the bar, the blonde deciding to turn around to face him. She needed a distraction, and she needed it to be fast.

The bartender glanced at her as she leaned her elbows on the bar and placed her chin in her hand, staring at him openly so he smiled finally, deciding to clean the already clean glasses. Elle smiled almost barely, her mind still stuck on Tommy despite this young man in front of her. "Between us..." Elle began to trail off as the man mused curiously, his smile widening in a friendly manner, which surprised Elle a little, but it wasn't like she disliked men, who didn't smirk the first chance she talked to them. "How pissed is Sabini with the whole ordeal with Thomas Shelby?"
