A/N:
I'm not changing ninjas into black women. My intentions are to motivate young black girls into pursuing martial arts and empower them in to see themselves as strong black women and royal. Also, Komiya is in inspiration of Sarah Culberson (princess of Mende in Sierra Leone who's a professional ballet dancer) and Fredia Gibbs (the first black woman to be an MMA fighter, except she's trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai).
One more thing: keep in mind about the difference between a westernized ninja and a traditional ninja. Komiya would be considered a westernized ninja because according to the Western pop culture (which would be movies, video games, comic books, and artwork containing of westernized martial arts), westernized ninjas are assassins who are trained in any martial arts styles besides ninjitsu, and Komiya is trained in capoeira (an Afro-Brazilian martial arts style). A traditional ninja is a Japanese assassin who's trained in ninjitsu.
