After leaving the study, Ye Lisa supported Mrs. Jeon as they walked to her room. After comforting the anxious Mrs. Jeon, she returned to her own room.

She wasn't worried about Jungkook. Lin Eunwoo hadn't fully matured yet into power, and Jeon Yoongi wasn't a person of proper conduct. Old Master Jeon was a very astute person and would naturally know the right choice to make. It wouldn't be worth it to him to cause discord between himself and Jungkook over this issue.

Shortly after Ye Lisa returned to her room, a servant knocked on the door and delivered the many gifts she had received during the celebration. They were all very expensive gifts.

Ye Lisa immediately saw the pair of watches that Jeon Yoongi had given to her and Jungkook.

She asked the servant to fetch a pair of sharp pliers. Once she got the tool, she violently pried open the back of the expensive watch without hesitation. In addition to the elaborate and complicated watch cogs, Ye Lisa found something else: a cleverly crafted GPS tracker.

Sure enough, the novel description of Jeon Yoongi was on target. He was a scoundrel that harbored ill-intentions and had been ambitiously scheming for many years. If Lin Eunwoo didn't have the protagonist halo protecting him, Jeon Yoongi might have gotten rid of Lin Eunwoo too after using him to get rid of Jungkook

Jungkook put on the facade of someone that fooled around all day. He hid his shrewdness very well and was more skilled than he appeared. This type of person was much more difficult to deal with than Lin Eunwoo.

At the very least, if Lin Eunwoo opposed someone, he would do it openly and forthrightly. In contrast, Jeon Yoongi was like a poisonous snake hiding in the dark. At any moment, he could jump out to bite you while you were caught off-guard.

The only thing that Ye Lisa didn't understand was, why were Lin Eunwoo and Jeon Yoongi working together now?

The door was pushed open, and Jungkook walked into the room. While taking off his jacket and tossing it onto the couch, he pulled at his tie to loosen it. His expression didn't look good.

"How did your talk go with grandpa?"

Jungkook looked over at her. He saw the broken expensive watch on the desk, but he didn't ask a single question. "Grandpa is still going forward with letting Lin Eunwoo recognize his ancestors, but he's also agreed that he won't allow Lin Eunwoo to enter Jeon Corporation."

"That's the best of both worlds."

"Yeah." Jungkook's eyes flashed slightly. Apropos of nothing, he asked, "If one day, I..."

"Don't worry. If one day you die, I'll enjoy and squander the huge inheritance you leave me. I'll raise Zhouzhou by myself." Ye Lisa was very emotionally moved. She raised her head to look at Jungkook. Full of genuine raw emotion, she said, "I'll miss you."

For lack of a better option, Jungkook could only smile and didn't say the real question that he wanted to ask.

With a gaze of infinite tenderness, he said to Ye Lisa, "Then I have to work hard now in order to leave behind a bigger inheritance for you to squander in the future."

"Thank you for your hard work, Mr. Jeon. I'm very touched."

Her loving expression was truly exaggerated, but a few words from Ye Lisa was enough to completely dissipate the little bit of unhappiness Jungkook felt when he left the study. His eyes were filled with smiles, and his heart was filled with tender love for her. It was as if his tiredness would melt away just from hearing Ye Lisa's voice.

Looking at Ye Lisa's moving lips, Jungkook couldn't resist trying to kiss her.

With sharp eyes and agile hands, Ye Lisa evaded him and covered her mouth. Unromantic, she asked, "What are you doing? We're not in public and you want to take advantage of me?"

Jungkook ended up kissing the air. He chuckled. "Alright, I won’t take advantage of you. You must be tired from today. You should go to sleep early.”

“Ah, wait!” Ye Lisa remembered that she had important information to share with him.
