 No warning—nothing. A child was simply dropped off by him with absolutely no context whatsoever—who their mother was, why they dropped their child off on him, nothing.

And now Espresso's stuck with the (ghost) child.

The mage was at a loss for what to do with the girl—she'd been sobbing nonstop for the past half hour, and it was causing him a headache.

Espresso cast a peek at the child before turning his gaze to the chilly. He swears he heard the small girl say, "Where's mommy...?" before sobbing again.

He sighed and turned back to the girl, "Do you—do you know where she is?"

Ah. He's not excellent with children.

The ghost child gazed at him, tears welling up in her eyes, shaking her head.

"Well then. Let's look for her."
