3rd Person POV

Bucky Barnes prided himself on being stronger than those around him since he wants to protect and help the civilians. But the Flagsmashers aren't all dead, and they have a new enemy for Bucky and Sam to face, one destined to recreate the super-soldier serum and make Bucky into their personal weapon once again. The organization is not technically Hydra, since that name had been retired, but you could say they were Hydra sympathizers at the very least, who believed that what they were doing was God's will.

Sam Wilson thought Bucky not picking up the phone or answering his texts meant he was just being stubborn. As more time passed, even offering to take him out to eat somewhere or help him on a mission, he got more and more concerned. This concern only grew when Bucky's therapist called him, wanting to know if he had any idea where Bucky was, and that he's missed not one, but two scheduled therapy appointments.

The former assassin knew the consequences of not attending his therapy appointments, and Sam knew that Bucky was better than he once was, he was now about confronting his fears head-on instead of repressing them under mountains of sleep deprivation and nightmares. He was trying, at least, to become a better person, to become the hero Sam told him he could be. Yet here he was, missing, his apartment left in disarray.

Sam walked into his co-worker's tiny apartment and noticed two things immediately. He noticed a fluffy white cat meowing at him, and books and other miscellaneous items strewn about the room. It looked to him as if someone was looking for something in Bucky's stuff, but he didn't quite understand why the cat was left untouched. Though Sam has to admit, he finds it adorable that Bucky adopted or rescued the little kitty, slowly approaching its perch on the back of the couch.

As he ran his fingers through the soft fur of the kitty, he took note that the cat didn't seem all that afraid of strangers. The cat meowed at him and left his perch, running across the tiny room to it's empty food bowl in an attempt to get him to feed it. Sam looks around the room for the cat food, seemingly finding it in a small cupboard that had the name "Alpine" painted onto it.

Sam smirked and got the cat's food, pouring some in the bowl and checking to make sure it has enough water.

"I guess your name is Alpine then?" He whispered to the kitty, patting its head as the cat purred in gratitude, "What happened here? What happened to Bucky?"

The cat doesn't answer his question, which he finds very inconsiderate. Looking at the books and scattered documents on the floor, his worry only continues to grow about his missing friend. Somehow, deep within himself, he knew Bucky not to be a messy person. He knew Bucky was always willing to help Sarah clean something in Delacroix, and was always one to clean up after himself and others.

He came to the conclusion that someone had taken Bucky by force, and then searched his apartment. All of these findings, of course, are not good to see.

He instantly dials the phone number of his favorite cyber sleuth, "Hey Joquian, care to do be a favor? It's about Bucky..."

"Why, you need a good date location?"

"Toress I swear to- that's not the point, I need your help with leads, somebody ransacked his place looking for something AND we don't know where he is,"

He chuckles, "Yeah I'll help find leads about your partner-"

"He's not my partner, what is up with you today? Dude, me and him, platonic besties, nothing more,"
