Their Little

Narrator's POV:

Harry leads the two uniformed police officers back into the living room where they find Edward still sat on the floor with the tiny boy on his lap who was playing with the older mans fingers.

"Daddy!" Louis smiles once he sees Harry come back into the room.

"Hi there love bug." Harry says, trying to not let Louis notice his melancholy thoughts of him getting taken away.

Louis eyes wonder over to the two police officers stood next to his daddy and is immediately frightened by the large officers. He scoots back further into Edward's frame.

Edward wraps his arms around the boys tiny body and whispers sweet calming words into his ear.

"Hello there buddy, my name is officer Jackson and this is my partner Allison. It's very nice to meet you." The officer says, crouching down next to Louis.

Louis is feeling extremely shy and nervous, this is one of the first people he is meeting while in his headspace besides the twins and Maverick and he isn't totally sure how to react.

He buries his head in Edward's neck and whimpers, fearful.

The officers hearts quiver at the adorable boy, they don't mean to scare him. They have met many littles before but never ones quite this shy, they weren't really expecting it.

"Lovie, it's okay. Your daddies are right here, we won't let anything happen; you can say hello." Edward says as he pets the back of Louis's head.

Louis pulls his head out of Edward's neck very slowly and turns back to the officers, still holding onto Edward tightly.

"Hi." He says in a whisper.

"Hey there little one, we are here to talk with your daddies but we just wanted to make sure you were okay." Officer Allison says, her voice very sweet.

"I'm otay." Louis tells them cutely, his shyness fading a tiny bit at the seemingly kind women.

"Seems that way." Officer Jackson says slowly, checking around the home with his eyes. Looking for anything that could potentially leave Louis in any danger.

"Before we have to discuss the consequences of all of this we have to ask, why would you have Louis stay with you if you know the repercussions." Allison asks the men. pulling out a small notepad to take some notes on the situation.

"You mentioned stopping by his apartment before heading over here right?" Edward asks before answering the questions.

"Uh yes we did, that was out first stop." Allison nods.

"So, you saw the freezing, empty, dangerous environment that Louis was living him. And not only was he just living in that horrible apartment, he was living there alone, with no one and nothing. And sorry if it broke the law but I could not watch my baby go through that. His safety was and will always be my first priority and I'm sorry if that goes against the rules but that will never change." Edward says, his voice deep and smooth.

The police officers don't say a thing, they just look between the two men and the adorable little boy who is still shyly hid in his daddy's neck.

They saw how the little was attached to the two men already and how the two men were even more attached to him.

Officer Jackson takes a deep breath before speaking again.
