"Please I'm begging you to open this door. Please don't retreat from us again"

"Mum, I can't. Please just leave me alone"

"But you were just getting your life back on track"

"Well can you blame me for being like this after what just happened? After I found out who it was? Please mum, go away. I'm suffering for dad's mistakes"

Carla ran downstairs. She quickly found Thomas watching television. She ran and turned it off

"Hey"

"Our daughters life has been ruined, again, because of us, and your sitting here, relaxing and watching television?"

"What do you want me to do?"

"Nothing. We can't do anything. All we can do is support her, and be there for her. But why is she paying the price for something that we did years ago?"

"Well I don't know. But I do know how to find out"

Carla and Thomas were waiting patiently for their guest to arrive. Finally he entered the room

"Ok, I don't know what you think but nothing happened and my daughter was totally innocent in this"

"I know what happened. You led my mum on, and then rejected her. Because of you, I grew up without a mum"

"No. That's not what happened. Do you really think I would have stayed with my husband if that had been the case?"

"So then tell me what happened?"

"Your mum came onto me. When I rejected her, she didn't take it too well. Then your dad assumed it was some sort of affair. Hence why he threw her out"

"If what your saying is true, why didn't you tell my dad what really happened?"

"We did, but he refused to believe us. He was convinced that it was an affair"

"Ronnie, my daughter was totally innocent in all of this. Why did you ruin her life?"

"You can justify what you did, but I know the truth. You ruined my life, so I ruined your daughter's"

Caitlin was sitting in her room. She didn't know what to do, or how to move forward. She couldn't believe what had happened. Her life was in pieces, all over again. First she had been kidnapped, and then when she had recovered a bit, she found out that it was her boyfriend, who she loved, who had kidnapped her and ruined her life all over again. She was struggling to understand why? Why had Ronnie targeted her? If it was her parents mistake, why did Ronnie kidnap her, and destroy her, all over again? She couldn't trust anyone anymore. Those she trusted had hurt her terribly. She had to get out, she felt suffocated in her room, but was she strong enough? She tentatively took a step outside her room, then another. She managed to go downstairs and into the garden, nice and slowly. She sat down on the bench and reflected on her life, and what had happened. Would she ever heal? Would she always be broken? Would the memories always haunt her? Would they never go away? Her mum found her sitting in the garden, and came and sat next to her

"Mum, I'm scared"

"I know"

"I don't know if I'll ever recover and be myself again"

"I'm sure that you will. Just give it time"

"That's what I'm worried about. How much time? Being this way is not good for me and anyone. I want to be me again. This is ruining it, and taking it all away from me"

"Caitlin"

"I need to get away from here mum. There are too many memories here. I don't think I can recover here. Maybe somewhere else I can"

"Where do you want to go?"

"Anywhere mum. Just far away from here"

"I'll try and see what I can do"

"Just you and me mum. Not dad. I can't be around him yet. He's the reason I'm in this mess. Every time I look at him, I remember what Ronnie did"

Carla and Caitlin arrived at their destination. Carla had chosen a little cabin in the woods, as it was not too far from their house and she had WiFi, so she could keep her husband updated about what was going on. He had been devastated to learn that he couldn't go, and what Caitlin thought every time she saw him, but he understood and just wanted the best for his daughter. Plus, Carla hoped the peace and quiet and being out in nature, and away from everything would help Caitlin recover. Carla took Caitlin out for walks everyday, and caught glimpses that she was getting her daughter back. Caitlin was at the cabin, and Carla had just gone out, when there was a knock on the door. Caitlin waited to hear if she could hear the next part, as Carla had come up with a secret knock, to let Caitlin know it was her. Caitlin heard nothing. So it couldn't be her mum, but then who was it? Nobody knew that they were here. Caitlin grabbed a baseball bat, and slowly opened the door

"What are you doing here?"
