I will be going on vacation from Thursday to next Tuesday so in make up for missing new chapter day and because Christmas will be very close by then. You guys will be getting some of my MANY vault chapters along with the rest of y'alls requests each day until Thursday, how does that sound? With that being said, here is

A request from Angie04005 . A little short chapter about Pitch, Emily, and Seraphina :) It will go from present to past memories. We all know there is a history to these characters in books other than the movie and I would love to go into it, however, I want to do that when I've bought the books in print and read them fully.

This will be a song themed chapter which is why I wanted to see the reaction for the first one. I hope you like this one. I know the song themes are a new thing.

Loving can hurt, loving can hurt sometimes
But it's the only thing that I know
When it gets hard, you know it can get hard sometimes
It is the only thing makes us feel alive

Seraphina and Emily were catching up more and more every day. They were in the Pole now with Natasha as they all just sat around doing girl talk, laughing. Pitch couldn't take his eyes off of the scene in front of him as his daughter and wife sat side by side. It hurt sometimes to know that he was the one that took away these type of moments. It was his fault everyone had passed except for Sera and Bunny. And it hurt.

Something smacked him in the side as he turned, ready to hit back when he saw Ares. He turned back to watch them again. Ares knew what was going through his head. He always did.

"Neither of them blame you. All they want is for you to be together with them. Get out of your head and don't miss another second with them. It's your second chance just like I'm getting mine with Aster."

Pitch kept his eyes on them as Ares said his words of wisdom. He knew he should go join the seat Emily was leaving open beside her so he could sit with them. He knew he should do that. He was happy to see them together but it hurt to remember what he became that tore it apart. A snapping noise made him come out of his own head as he blinked to see Sera motioning for him. His heart softened at the smile she had on her face, all he could see was her as a little kid.

"Daddy, can I have some chocolate?" Pitch smiled at the little 5 year old who was trying her best to stay still as he finished up the braids in her hair. She had been good for the past few minutes that it took to braid the head full of long brown hair but now she was getting antsy.

"I'm almost done, Sera. I have to braid your hair because if I don't you'll get those big knots and then Mama might have to cut them out again." The little gasp from her made him smile a little bigger as she tried staying still again. He glanced up at the doorway to find his bestfriend walking in, Chief Ares.

"Hi, rabbit man!" Pitch laid his head on her little shoulder while he couldn't hold back the laughing. He heard Ares huff before a small little growl in annoyance. There was a female laugh that made him look up to find Emily and Eleanor had come back. He finished the braid off before turning her around with a kiss on the forehead.

"Bye, Daddy!" She was jumping up and down at his feet as her big smile shinned back at him before running off beside the little Aster who stood between his mother's legs. Emily wrapped an arm around his waist as they watched Sera run off with the other kits.

Pitch felt an arm around his waist before he glanced down to find Emily with a soft look on her face. He held a short breath when he noticed Sera was right in front of him with a smile. He couldn't help but feel the warmth in his chest as he smiled back. He felt alive and whole again.
