Who is he ?

Avni was driving back home after the interview, the interview which didn't happen. It was exhausting waiting there for an hour with a great deal of pressure and nervousness after yelling on her boss’s boss. She was not hoping for a possibility of getting a job here now because when the HR guy was called by Mr. Black suit, avni kind of got a feeling that he might have said “no matter what, make sure I don't see this girl here ever again” but that came out to be absolutely wrong. There were five people interviewing for this job and everyone got a chance to go in but avni, which deep down her little heart confirmed that she had screwed up so bad. They were all asked to go home which avni almost did but the same HR guy called her out from behind,

Vicky: Miss. Avni mehta?

Avni acknowledged. He gave her an envelope that said she had gotten the job with her final salary. Interestingly, Vicky asked if she was okay with the amount they were giving her. Avni was nothing but shocked and out of speech, gawking at Vicky in undefinable disbelief.

Parking the car in garage she walked inside the building's compartment. Completely lost in her thoughts. She remembered asking Vicky,

Avni: But mera interview nahi hua

Vicky had confidently told her with a smile.

Vicky: No need. Tumhara resume kaafi tha. You’ve got the job

Avni: But I have no work experience.

Vicky: It's okay. Ho jaega.

Avni was losing words to put in. Stammering she had asked,

Avni: but bina interview ke kese?

Vicky: New policy.

Before avni couldn't ask anything further, Vicky was quick enough to ask, smirkingly

Vicky: Salary thik hai Miss. Avni?

Avni was speechless. She wasn't able to figure if that was taunt or a genuine question but either way they were paying her double of what she expected.

She reached home and riya opened the door for her who just couldn't get the look on Avni's face. Riya stood there waiting for her to say that she got the job and jump in excitement but nothing as such, instead avni just kept glaring at her standing at the door.

Riya: Kya hua?

Avni got inside without saying a thing. Riya shut the door and asked again,

Riya: avni, kya ho gaya? Interview kesa tha?

She threw her bag away and crashed on the couch in living room.

Riya: Arey kuch bolegi? Interview kesa gaya?

Avni: Hua hi nahi.

Riya joined her on the couch.

Riya: Interview nahi hua? Kyu?

Avni: Wo mujhe nahi pata

She took the envelope, adding

Avni: But mujhe job mil gayi

Excitedly, riya asked

Riya: What? Job mil gayi?

Taking the envelope she went through it.

Riya: Ye kya hai? 80,000?

She gawked at avni, repeating,

Riya: 80,000? First Salary? Are you serious?

Avni nodded with a sarcastic smile on her face.

Riya: Kaunsi company hai ye?

Riya kept staring at the paper while avni's smile grew on her thinking how silly was this.
