Two days later

Morning at 8 am, avni and riya were getting ready for their respective works. Avni for hell way more nervous because it was her first day. She just prayed nothing goes wrong today and as she did, their doorbell rang. Riya ran to get the door. A courier guy standing with big bouquet in his hands. Fragrance of lilies made through the main door to all inside their apartment.

Courier guy: Avni mehta?

Riya called out to her while gawking at the beautiful bouquet of white lilies. She noticed that the guy is carrying a small basket with couple of champagne bottles. One that she had never seen or tasted before. Avni came hurriedly,

Avni: Kya hua?

Riya: Tere liye kuch hai?

She asked the courier guy.

Avni: kya hai ye?

He handed her the basket of champagne as well as flowers. Showing her a plank, he asked her to sign in it. Avni handed over the things to Riya and signed on it. They shut the door.

Avni: what the hell?

Riya: Tere liye hi hai

Avni: Han but,

She picked up the flower bouquet which had a small card stuck to it. In black printed strokes it read,

        Congratulations on your new job.

Avni had started to sweat mildly. On her first day of work, this guy was planning to give her heart stroke, she thought.

Riya: Tu ab bhi kahegi, ye tujhe follow nahi kar raha?

She placed her hand on her forehead. Nervously, she exclaimed,

Avni: main nahi jaa rahi. Nahi chahiye ye job

Riya: What? Tu pagal hai? Tujhe toh khush hona chahiye ki pehle din tera boss good wishes send kar raha hai

She said irritably,

Avni: Khush? Mujhe darr lag raha hai. Aise ghar par flowers kaun bhejta hai?

She added,

Avni: Main bata rahi hu Riya, ye insan thik nahi hai.

Riya: Ye insaan bilkul thik hai, tu stupid hai.

Avni: What?

Riya: Pagal, dekh wo tujh mei interested hai. Issey achi baat kya ho sakti hai?

Avni: Lekin main bilkul nahi hu.

She added,

Avni: by the way, tujhe kese pata interested hai?

Riya said sarcastically,

Riya: Nahi nahi, ye flowers aur ye champagne tujhe behen banane ke liye bheja hai na?

She added, going inside the room.

Riya: Pagal!

Avni said loudly,

Avni: Dekh, agar kuch hua na toh main office se bhaag jaungi.

Riya: Wo tere office mei thodi hoga. Sirf invest karta hai company mei, zada dimaag matt laga.

Avni realized she was right. It wasn't as if he was gonna be in her office or she will have to face him but little did she know what was going to happen.
