3rd Person POV

"Run for your lives! He's back!" a man shouted, running from the Crystal Cove Spook Museum. A large baby carriage-themed car raced around the corner. A huge man, wearing large baby clothes and clown make up was driving, and was throwing bombs over the side into the restaurant, Fruitmeier's, laughing manically.

Sheriff Stone, driving his police car, was racing all over town with his siren blaring. Suddenly, the clown baby rounded the corner and threw one of his bombs under the sheriff's car. Luckily, the explosion it caused only sent the car skidding forward and caused the hood to get dented. Sheriff Stone shook his head, trying to see straight when the clown's car skidded to a stop beside him.

"Man baby not real, man baby not real!" he muttered to himself in fear, his unblinking eyes never leaving the clown. The clown suddenly started fake crying. "You don't like Crybaby Clown?" he asked and cried some more. "That hurts my feelings! Maybe you're just hungry."

Cry Baby Clown pulled out a bomb and tossed it into the car with Sheriff Stone. "Drink up!" he yelled and sped off, leaving the destruction he caused in the town. The bomb heated up and the sheriff jumped out of the car, rolling on the ground as it blew up. "Mommy!" he yelled in fear.

A figure stood in the shadows, watching the whole scene. With a final swig of the bottle of rum in her hand, Ellie tossed it into the dumpster she was leaning on. She hated what has become of her town. But her mystery-solving days were far behind her. With a sway in her gait, she trudged down the alley, clumsily kicking at a rock, which almost made her fall, and finally disappeared into the darkness.

The newly elected Mayor Nettles stood at her window, also watching from her office. "What have I gotten myself into?" she asked herself. "If you ask me, I'd say it's a mystery," a deep, mechanic voice said from the dark corner of her office. Nettles jumped, startled by the intruder. "Who-who are you?" she asked in alarm.

The person said nothing and tossed a file onto Mayor Nettles's desk. Six pictures fell out, each one with the profile of a teenager and a dog on them. "They call themselves Mystery Incorporated," the person said. "The dog's locked up at a farm upstate. You're on your own tracking down the others."

The person opened a window. "My suggestion? Start tonight. You want this mystery solved, bring them home," they said, placing they're foot on the ledge. "Or your run as the new mayor of Crystal Cove is going to be short-lived."

Suddenly, the person disappeared. Mayor Nettles ran to the window, but they were gone. She then looked at her desk and picked up the picture of the dog. Then, she picked up her phone and made a few calls.

Scooby sat in his cell, bouncing his ball against the wall and catching it with his mouth dully. He hated what his life had become and missed his friends dearly. He had spent the whole summer trying to break out of the 'farm' but with no success. He was always caught by him.

Speak of the devil... The cell door opened, and the farmer stuck his head in. "Hope you had a nice time in the hole, dog," he sneered. Scooby grumbled but made no remark and was led back to the cow barn. He walked inside, and the farmer closed the door behind him and locked it. Scooby let out a lone whimper and went to his nest of hay he had made next to his favorite cow, Precious. "Trying to tell me what to do with my life," he grumbled, resting in his nest of hay. Precious looked at Scooby.

"Look, I had to try to escape, okay?" Scooby tried to justify. He pulled out a framed picture of the gang: himself, Shaggy, Ellie, Daphne, Fred, and Velma all in front of the Mystery Machine. "I made a promise to my friends."
