"What do you mean, he escaped?" Ace growled on the bottom floor of the house, he stood there glaring at a few of the alphas who seemed just as confused about how it happened.
"We mean, he possibly escaped through the window." One of the alpha's spoke up with crossed arms, frowning at Ace.
Ace glared at him.
"It takes a key to unlock those chains Ezra, my son was the one who was holding onto that very object, so tell me. How did Moxie get his hands on it?" He growled.

The red head took a step back with narrowed eyes as he frowned at the other.
"It's possible your son had a change of heart and slid the key under the door." He told him.
Ace's eye twitched.

"Is there a problem down here?" He looked to Church who walked in rolling up his sleeves with his eyes locked on Ace.
"Yes there's a problem, why did you leave Moxie alone?" He growled.
Church blinked.
"He wanted to be left alone, he's going through a lot and I'm the last person he wants-"
"Cut the shit Church, he fucking escaped." Ace growled at him.

Church's brows furrowed.
"What? But I was just in there-"
"And yet someone broke him out." Ace looked around.
"Someone in this house isn't as loyal to me as they claim they are, I want your alphas to find the one ruining my plans and I want them brought to me." He said as Church frowned at him.
His eyes were dark before he looked to Ezra and the others and motioned them to start looking around.

"And as for you Church," Ace turned to him frowning deeply.
"I want you to find Moxie and I want you to ruin his life however you see fit. I've lost my wife, I've lost some of my children, and it's because of that kid who isn't even mine." He growled looking at Church.
Church looked at him.
"And how exactly would you like me to ruin his life, Ace? It's obvious we can't keep him and that vampire apart." He shrugged.

Ace thought about it before he looked back at the other.
"Impregnate him." He told him.
Church looked taken back for a moment.
"You mean, rape him?" He asked feeling this anger boiling inside of him all of a sudden.
"Don't make it sound like rape Church-"
"How else am I supposed to make unwilling sex sound?" Church arched a brow at Ace who stared at him more annoyed now.
"I'm just saying if you get him pregnant, that will ruin his relationship with that vampire. He'll have no choice but to leave him because no one wants to raise a kid that's not theirs." He told him.

Church's eye twitched.
"So are you confirming that if you knew when your wife was pregnant with Moxie, and he wasn't yours, you wouldn't have wanted him?" He asked the other.
Ace stared at him.
"I've never wanted him, he's always defied me since the day he could talk, and then we found out he was an omega no less." Ace rolled his eyes with a heavy sigh.
"But now that I know he isn't mine but he is someone who's ruined things for me? I want him dealt with." He stepped up with this smirk on his face.
"And who no better than you to do this one simple job for me." He looked at Church who was frowning at him now.

"You really think I'd rape some kid just because he defies you?" He asked him.
Ace frowned.
"Are you telling me you won't do it?"
Church glared.
"I-"

"Ace, we found the one who slid the key under the door." Church and Ace turned around and Ace's expression hardened at the one behind the act.
"Why am I not surprised you would be the one who'd even go behind your own mates back, Devin?" He questioned the blond who stood there.
Two alphas on opposite sides but had his arms locked.

Devin frowned deeply at Ace.
"You're taking everything way too far Ace, the imprisonment of your own family and those vampires? Why go this far over what my mates brother has done? All Moxie wanted was to be happy, and you're throwing a fit like a fucking baby!" Devin yelled.
"So yeah, I swiped the key off Mistral and yes I tossed that key under the door you had Moxie locked in. Because I respect him for fighting for not just his own race but for that other race as well, and I'd do it again." Devin growled.

Ace was glaring harshly.
"Kill him, I'll find Mistral another mate, just like I did with the last one." He shrugged as Devin's green eyes grew wide.

"What did you just say?"
Devin's blood was ice cold looking over his shoulder to where Mistral stood with Lexi and Zoe, the girls were glaring daggers at Ace who looked shocked seeing them there.
"Kids, I didn't-"
"Cut the crap, what the fuck did you just say to my mate?" Mistral growled stepping forward, his eyes dark and locked on Ace who stepped back for a second before he stood still and glared now.

"I said I killed your past mate, you know the one a lot like your brother? Way too defying and not an ounce of respect." Ace spat now glaring.
"I only want the best for my children-"
"You don't kill our fucking loved ones!" Mistral yelled with gritted teeth as he glared daggers at Ace.
"I was in love with Luna and you killed her because she spoke her mind? She wasn't obedient like all the other omegas?" He walked forward and shoved any other alpha out of his way before he was in Ace's face.

"And now you're trying to do the exact same thing with Devin because he did the thing none of us had the guts to do?" Mistral's expression hardened.
"Mom was right to leave you, you don't deserve family Ace, hell you don't even deserve the air you breathe! I followed you before because I was inspired, I wanted to be like you because I thought that's what being an alpha was." Mistral growled in Ace's face.
"But if lying to my mate, hating my children and killing their happiness off is what gets you hard? I don't fucking want to be like you. I love Devin, and yeah he pisses me off sometimes, but I love Moxie too. Half brother or not, he's still far better than you'll ever be." Mistral growled harshly.

Ace was frowning at the other.
"I'm sorry you feel that way Mistral, and here I thought you would be the one I'd give my will to after I died-"
"I don't want your fortune." Mistral snarled.
"I can make a better life for me and Devin with this thing called a job, not where I sat on my ass all day and judged children based on their tags." Mistral looked over his shoulder at Devin and his expression softened.

"You're so caught up being this rich asshole, you don't know what good you have until its walking out the front door and not returning. Take mom for example, you won't ever win her back. Hell knows she's better off without some controlling bastard-"

"MISTRAL!" Devin screamed watching the blade plunging into his mates side.
Mistral's knees were getting weak standing there as Ace kept a grip on the others shoulder.

"I've heard about enough of that bullshit coming out of your mouth son, how about you go to sleep?" Ace suggested.
"Let go of me!" Devin growled ripping out of the alphas grasp as he ran towards the two but someone's forearm greeted his stomach as he cried out in pain.

"MISTRAL!" He screamed before he glared harshly at Church who held the other back.
Mistral lied there coughing as he held his side, blood oozing through his fingers as his eyes fell on Devin.
His brows knitted watching the other screaming and crying for the other.

"You're a monster." Lexi hissed shoving Bexley behind her as Zoe did the same with Evie, the two alphas's glaring harshly at Ace who stood there with the blade in his hand.
He turned to them.
"No sweetie, this is me just taking matters into my own hands." He told her.

Tears slipped past Lexi's eyes.
"He was your son, how could you stab your own child like they didn't mean shit to you?" She demanded.
Ace stared at her.
"I won't be defied by anyone, not even by my own child. If that means I have to kill some of you to get my point across? I'll do it." He shrugged and his eyes locked on Church.

"Why are you still here? There is an omega who I want you to ruin, I won't repeat myself." He told Church who actually flinched but he let Devin go who ran straight to Mistral, pressing his palms against the others wound as he cried over the other who was battling his own consciousness.

Church stepped towards the door but Lexi and Zoe blocked his path.
"You're going after Moxie? You have to get past us first." Lexi growled at him.
Church frowned.
"I'm not into killing girls, so if you'll just step aside." He told them.

Zoe glared harshly.
"You actually think we're going to step aside because you told us to? Bullshit." She growled at the other.
Church frowned deeply, he rubbed his temples.
"This isn't going as I planned at all, the only person I planned on seeing stabbed was going to be Ace." He hissed.
Zoe glared at him.
"What's stopping you?" She asked him glaring in her dads direction who wasn't even paying attention.

"Nothing except the fact, I have vampires to kill." He said and with that.
Zoe and Lexi were both dropping to their knees at this shock of being tased sent them both to the ground, screaming as Church walked past the two.

**Moxie**

"What took you so long?" Sin asked us as we walked up to the only vampire on the street.
Asta frowned at him.
"Maybe climbing up a two story house? But we have the key." He said with a grin.
Sin smiled at him.
His eyes fell on me.

"Ready to save a bunch of vampires?" He asked me.
I nodded frowning at him.
"More than ready." I said as he pushed open the church doors and my heart sank seeing so many cages and vampires inside of them like wild animals.

"Is that Sin? SIN!" We turned around and in one of the cages, Cadence rested there with Katia and Midori, the two younger ones looking more frightened as we walked up to them.
"Don't worry, we're going to get you out." He told her as Cadence looked at him with tears in her eyes.
"The ones behind this are Ace and Church, Church plans on burning the building down." She told us as my eyes grew wide.
"We have to get everyone out." I snatched the key from Asta and was quick to unlock their cage.

We took turns unlocking everyone's cages and I was trying to hold it together from how many were crying, and how many children were actually present and crying for their moms or dads.

"Moxie?" I turned around fast as my heart pounded hard against my chest.
"Magna." My knees were weak seeing him in the cage, tears swelling in my eyes as I walked over and immediately our fingers were lacing through the cage and his lips were on mine.
My face burned as I looked at him.
"Hi Magna." I greeted through fallen tears as he smiled softly at me.
"Hi, baby." He greeted back as I smiled.

"Instead of you saving me, its me saving you." I smiled at him.
"Like at the pond that night?" He smirked as I blushed.
"Yes, like at the pond." I smiled.

"We get it! You're a happy couple reunited, please unlock the cage so the rest of us can get with our mates." Ziggy whined.
My face burned.
"Right-" The sound of screaming caught me off guard before the smell of smoke was filling the room and there was fire soon engulfing the walls.
My eyes were wide watching some of the vampires dropping to the ground and there he stood with a stake in his hand.
Walking down the path the fire hadn't touched yet.

"Church." I gasped.
"You really know how to fuck things up, your poor older brother is practically dead." Church swung the stake around in his hand looking at me.
My brows knitted holding the key.
"Mistral?"
"Mhm." Church smiled.
"Devin was the one who tossed you the key that got you out of that house, he was also fixing to die until your older siblings stepped in. After I kill these vampires, Ace will be the next to die." He told me.

"Unlock the cage." Magna told me.
I looked back to him panicked but nodded.
I went to unlock the cage but only let out a pained scream the moment I felt Church's foot connect to my gut.
It hurt.
A lot more than I wanted it to and I could taste blood all over again.

"Moxie!" Magna pulled on the bars trying to pry them apart.
I lied there as my lungs burned from the smoke.
I coughed trying to get on my hands and knees but cried out feeling my face being shoved into the wooded floor.
A hand wrapped around the back of my head as my heart pounded against my chest.

"You know, none of this would of probably happened if you two had just simply avoided each other the first night you met." Church said as I reached for Magna despite having no strength in my body whatsoever.
"Because look at what it's costed you? A dead brother, dead friends and soon it'll be a dead ex father and mate." Church sighed heavily.
"He told me to ruin your life like you ruined his, he even tossed out the idea to rape you." He told me as my blood ran ice cold.

"But the more I thought about it, the more I didn't like the idea of having a kid with someone in love with a vampire. That's just putting a target on my kids back, I don't want that." He sighed.
"So I thought of an even better idea!" He snapped his fingers and this alpha I didn't even recognize walked up to us.
"This guy is going to do it, it leaves my hands clean. The only thing I'm going to do is make sure you don't run while you're being taken in front of the man you love." He smirked deviously at me.

"You're fucking sick." Ziggy growled behind the bars.
Church shrugged.
"I make myself sick, but it is what it is." He slammed me to the ground and I felt my hips being raised before the feeling of my jeans being pulled on made me sick.
I looked at Magna with fear in my eyes.

"I love you." I whispered with tears in my eyes.
He looked horrified but the sound of pained grunts and groans behind me, made me look over my shoulder.

Joshua stood there with a bat in his hand, this anger written all over his face.
"Are you okay, Moxie?" He asked me as Cadence helped me to my feet.

I looked at Jensen and Colt who held Church and the other alpha down with force as Rocky brought out some rope, his eyes jet black.

I looked back at Joshua with knitted.
"I am now." I unlocked the cage Magna and the others were in and the moment that door unlocked.
Magna was rushing past me and his fist was slamming hard into Church's face.
Over and over as hard as he could hit the other, his green eyes were black as Magna glared harshly with his fist bloodied.

Church was unconscious with a busted face and Magna was walking over to me.
The building was on fire and falling down but it was like none of that mattered.

Magna reached around me, pulling my jeans up before he was pressing his lips to mine and held me close.
He brushed his fingers through my hair and looked at me for the longest time.

"Let's get out of here." He told me.
I smiled.
"I-"

"Yeah no kidding, I'm not fixing to become vampire BBQ because you two wanna be cute and flirt, do that shit outside the burning building, please?" Ziggy growled shoving us both forward.

It felt like a dream.
The ambush at the hotel.
Being held prisoner at the house.
The vampires nearly being burnt alive.
And I was almost raped..

But after today.
I feel like things might go back to normal.
