Chapter 2: Be careful of your surroundings

Jahoon: Hey! Wait for me!

I ran after Eunbi but bumped into her back when she suddenly stopped.

Eunbi: When following me, keep your mouth shut, or else you gonna pay for it.

Jahoon: Are you gonna hurt me if I don't shut up?

Eunbi: Not me but someone else. Now, follow me.

Eunbi began to walk again and then turned around the next corner into a small and dark alley, that you see in movies where people are getting killed. I shivered at the thought and kept myself closer to her. Suddenly Eunbi stopped and lifted a sewer cover.

Eunbi: Go down there.

Jahoon: What the hell do you mean with "go down there"? I'm not going into a smell sewer for your fun.

I crossed my arms and glared at Eunbi but she was just staring back at me like I was an idiot.

Eunbi: You won't be going into a sewer but to Dystopia. But if you don't want to, fine, then I will just leave you here.

Eunbi crawled down the sewer and closed the cover after her. I bit my cheek and let my gaze wander around the alley.

Jahoon: F*ck it! It will be safer to be with Eunbi than standing here alone.

I took off the cover and followed Eunbi down after putting the cover back on. When I arrived at the bottom, I was surprised by how well lit and clean it was for a sewer to be.

Eunbi: Took you long enough time to decide. So you have brain enough to know that it is better to be with me than to stand up there alone.

I turned around to see Eunbi right behind me but before I could even argue back, Eunbi walked past me and down the tunnel of the sewer. Okay... Jahoon, take a deep breath... you are not gonna let someone like Eunbi get to you right? You a better than this. I took a deep breath and followed Eunbi throughout the tunnel, turnings corners here and there. Suddenly we were in a kind of underground market? There were tables aligned with different kinds of products, that I have never ever seen before. We walked towards a table that was more secluded away from the others.

???: Long time no see Snow White. It is good to have you back, so people can know who the real leader is.

Eunbi: Seems like Rockhead has made a ruckus when I was away.

???: Oh boy, if I tell you it would take a whole week to tell about all the things she has done but by the way, who is the beauty beside you? A new addition to the team?

Eunbi: Depends on if she does a good job.

Eunbi turned around to look at me for a moment before turning back to look at the products that were on the table.

Jahoon: Well, you don't have to worry because I always excel at stuff that I do.

I crossed my arms and stared at Eunbi with a confident look. The owner of the table chuckled.

???: I like her confidence, Snow White. By the way, what is your name?

Jahoon: I'm Jahoon. Nice to finally meet a polite person.

I gave the person behind the table a smile while side glancing towards Eunbi to indicate that it was her that I was talking about.

???: Well, it is nice to meet you too! You can just call me SinB and here Snow White.

SinB gave Eunbi a piece of paper. Eunbi opened and read it. Due to my curious nature, I tried to lean closer to see what was written but before I could take a glimpse out of anything in there, Eunbi had already filled it back and put it in her inner pocket.

Eunbi: Thank you SinB. I will get going now.

SinB: Of course. Take care of yourself!

We left the table towards another a few rows away, where an angel- I mean a beautiful woman was standing behind it. There is no time to gay here Jahoon! These people could probably kill you at any minute if you get too close to their comfort.

???: Coming for Pepe's lipstick Snow White?

Eunbi: You know us well Kim.

Kim: Here you go and who is that beautiful girl beside you? Snow White here likes to call me Kim but you can call me Chaehyun or maybe yours?

The girl named Chaehyun moved closer to me so that we were inches away. She smiled innocently at me and was about to grab my hand when Eunbi grabbed my hand and pulled me behind her.

Eunbi: I think you are crossing the line, Kim. Let's go.

Eunbi pulled me away from Chaehyun. I looked behind me to wave at Chaehyun to see her waving back at me with a smile. We made our way back to the streets but Eunbi still won't let go of my hand. She only let go when we arrived at a bridge, meters away from Dystopia. Eunbi turned around to look at me.

Eunbi: Don't even dare to get close to anyone except me. Do you understand?

Jahoon: I understand but... could you maybe let go of my hand? It hurts a little.

We both looked down at our hands. Eunbi removed her hands from mine to reveal that it had become a little red from how hard she had held it. Eunbi leaned her back against the bridge and looked at the water in front of her.

Eunbi: Well, you shouldn't have acted so close to Kim.

Jahoon: And why that?

Suddenly Eunbi began to move closer to me, making me close my eyes. I had them closed for a moment but couldn't feel anything, so I opened them and looked around to see Eunbi glaring at someone behind me while holding their wrist.

Eunbi: Before you rob someone, see who they are with next time.

I looked behind me to see a man standing behind me with my wallet in his hand and Eunbi's hands grasped around his wrist. He quickly returned my wallet to Eunbi before bowing down in fear.

Man: I'm sorry Snow White! I won't do it again and I will be more careful next time.

The man bowed down again before running away. I looked at Eunbi, who was inspecting my wallet.

Jahoon: How did you know that? I couldn't even feel his presence.

Eunbi: When you are the thief queen, you have already learned to be attentive about your surroundings. So I didn't need to face him and look directly at him to know that he was there.

Eunbi moved closer to me but this time I kept my eyes open because I thought that there was maybe another thief. Eunbi moved so close to me so that her breath hit my face and moved her face to my ear. She placed my wallet in the front pocket of my pants and then patted my butt.

Eunbi: I remember two things today. Be attentive to your surroundings and that you shouldn't get too close to other people because you are mine.
