The Urgent Message

(POV:Writer(Me))

The Sea King sat on his throne wondering who the lucky mermaid could be. Little did he know that the girl wasn't really a mermaid but a human. And Sebastian who knew this already was dreading the upcoming moments.

-"Come in, Sebastian," the King said after clearing his throat.

-"I mustn't overreact, I must remain calm" the little crab told himself and quietly made his way to the King.

-"Yes?" he answered in a squeaky and quiet voice.

-"Yes, your majesty?" he repeated his statement after clearing his throat.

-"Sebastian, I'm concerned about Ares"

-"Have you noticed he's been acting...peculiar lately?"

-"Oh! Uh, peculiar?"

-"You know, mooning about, daydreaming, singing to himself"

-"You haven't noticed, hmm?"

-"Oh, well, I..." Sebastian stuttered to form sentences, afraid of the King's reactions.

-"Sebastian?"

-"Hmm?" he gave a shy smile and the King called him up.

-"I know you've been keeping something from me"

-"Keeping something?" he gulped.

-"About Ares?"

-"Ares?" Sebastian's legs trembled as they talked further.

-"In love, hmm?" Sebastian, unable to stand up to the pressure blabbered out everything.

-"I tried to stop him, sir! He wouldn't listen!"

-"I told her to stay away from humans! They are bad! They are trouble!"

-"HUMANS!? WHAT ABOUT HUMANS?!"

-"Humans?" he questioned nervously, releasing his mistake and misunderstanding.

-"Who said anything about humans?" his dumb act had not resulted as wanted, and he was questioned till further notice.

(POV:Ares)

Flounder had gotten me away from Sebastian and told me he had a surprise for me at the grotto. We swam there quickly, me excited to see what he had gotten me.

-"Flounder, why can't you just tell me what this is all about?"

-"You'll see, it's a surprise!"

-"Oh, Flounder" he had gotten Y/n's statue into the grotto.

-"Flounder you're the best!"

-"It looks almost like her! It even has her eyes!" I was so distracted I didn't realize father had come in until I turned around.

-"Father?"

-"I consider myself a reasonable merman"

-"I set certain rules, and I expect those rules to be obeyed"

-"But, father, I..."

-"Is it true you rescued a human from drowning!?"

-"Father, I had to..."

-"Contact between the human world and the mer-world is strictly forbidden!"

-"Ares, you know that! Everyone knows that!"

-"She would have died!"

-"That's one less human to worry about!"

-"You don't even know her!"

-"Know her? I don't have to know her! They're all the same!"

-"Spineless, savage, harpooning fish-eaters! Incapable of any feeling..."

-"Father, I love her!"
