As we continue to wander in Essos' sewer network, I try to start a conversation. "So uh, where are we going?" She suddenly stopped and stared at me for a minute. "Who are you? You're not Esso born." I was hesitant to give her any more of my background. "I was born on Christophsis." "You got a name?" "Vex. That's all you need to know." "Christophsis huh? Long way from home ain't ya? Ok 'Vex' follow me." I couldn't tell if she knew I gave her a fake name but I could tell that we both don't trust each other. As we kept on walking, I just had more and more questions. "Hey, who were those Sith Lords that attacked you and your people?" "Those aren't Sith Lords. Their more like Jedi hunters. The Empire calls them Inquisitors. Those two in particular goes by the names the Thirteenth Sister and the Twelfth Brother. We don't know if they had real names or not, but we guess like every imperial soldier, they go by code names." We arrived at a dead end. "Ah great a dead end." She then pulled a hidden lever and the supposed dead end were opened and inside was a base of operations. "What is this place?" She showed my around. "We are The Black Thunder. We're the rumors made true. Our mission is to liberate Esso and hopefully the rest of the galaxy." "Look, ya'll got a nice club and all, but I gotta go." The Pantoran tried to stop me. "Wait. You can't just leave after I just lead you to our secret base without telling us who you really are. For all we know, you could be an Imperial agent." I remove my makeshift mask and my hood. "My name is Darryn Y'Zalli. I'm or was a Jedi padawan." I guess she got a little more comfortable with me. "Quora Vale. I'm their leader or rather my father was until Shaw killed him. We were going to finally kill him, but I guess we didn't account those inquisitors being there. They could be a problem." Quora took a moment to think and she took another look at me. "Or maybe they won't be." I was confused. "You could give us an edge. The Empire has inquisitors, but we have a Jedi. You could—". I cut her off before she could start. "Hey, I didn't come here to join a team. I only came here to get away the Empire. But now that their here, I need to find a way off this planet." Quora was beginning to get upset and agitated. "I thought Jedi were supposed to be keepers of the peace." "I don't know if you've heard, but the all of the Jedi are dead and I could be last one. And as long as I live, the order lives." I started to leave but Quora stopped me yet again. "I can get you off planet." I stopped and faced her. "Look, we can help each other. There are rumors that the empire is building something big and we need to find out what it is. If we don't, it could mean the end of Esso and other planets of the galaxy. Which means there won't be any planets for you left to hide on." I'm pretty sure she added that part just to be spiteful. I gave it a minute to think about it but I was receiving a call. When I answered it, it turned out to be no one other than R3. "Arrthree? Yeah, I'm fine buddy. Look, just stay there, I'll be home soon." I switched off my communicator. "Fine, I'll help you. What do you know so far?" Quora lead me to their war holo-table and presented a scale of the imperial factory on the outskirts of the city. "As you can see, this is the imperial factory here on Esso and for some reason their getting large quantities of metal. Their up to something and we need to find out what." Could it be a walker or something?" "We thought so too. Until we found this." She presses some buttons and appeared was a unusual holographic leg. It almost looks cybernetic. "A leg?" I observed "This leg doesn't look like any other imperial walker leg we've seen." I study the leg closer. "This kinda looks like a destroyer droid leg from the clone wars. But it feels off for some reason." Meanwhile at the Imperial Embassy, Thornton Shaw was filling some documents about his recent encounter with the Esso resistance, when a couple of stormtroopers entered his office to give him an update. "General, the project is proceeding on schedule." Shaw steps up from his desk. "Ah good. Come, I wish to see it." As they strut down the corridor, he passed the mess hall where the inquisitors were having a meal and a discussion about their recent encounter with me and The Black Thunder

"So, when's the last time you killed a Jedi?" The Twelfth Brother asked the Thirteenth Sister as they consume their food.

"Eh, about a week or two, give or take

"Eh, about a week or two, give or take. The one we faced in the village was barely a warmup. That lightsaber of his looks nice though. Can't wait to collect it as a trophy, and maybe his head." The Twelfth Brother was feeling skeptical. "What do you think about this project the troopers are working on? It's like nothing I've ever seen before, I don't like it." She simply laughs off his superstition. "Why worry? Those pitiful machines dwarfs in comparison to the power of the dark side." "I suppose you're right. Have you heard from the others?" Thirteenth takes another sip of her drink. "Not recently, but I've heard The Second and Ninth Sister have an assignment on Bracca. Meanwhile, we're stuck on the outskirts of the galaxy on this barren rock." Eleventh Sister complained. "Well, I'm gonna try and find out more about that Jedi." The Twelfth Brother stands up and exits the mess hall. "Hey." He turns and faces The Thirteenth Sister. "Watch your back." "Hmph." The Twelfth Brother arrives at his personal quarters and begins to meditate. "Show us our new enemy." He said to himself. He was shown visions from a past he's familiar and unfamiliar with. Shaw and the other troopers arrived and a cadet had begun to inform Shaw about the progress they've made about their secret project. "Ah, General. Welcome. As you can see, the project is proceeding on schedule." The cadet handed him a data pad. "Ah, excellent. And what of our shipments of our "exclusive" metals?" The cadet became a little nervous. "We're still receiving them but... not all of... them. Those rebels they—". Shaw interrupts him. "Those rebels are but a mere obstacle. Our Empire is boundless. Send out the order for more shipments of metal." The cadet had growing concern. "But General, the rebels will surely attack it." Shaw turned his back and left while saying. "I'm counting on it." But he had another request. "Oh and after the inquisitors have left, send a probe droid to follow them." He would then leave and return to his office. Back at the rebel base, they just received new intel for the Empires' new shipment of more metal. "Hmm, looks like the Empire is having more metal shipped. Another day, another target. Let's move out! You coming "Vex"?" I roll my eyes and turned on my communicator. "Arrthree, I need you to meet me at these coordinates. We... have a job to do." R3 made surprised beeps and whirs. "Yeah, I know— look, just meet me there." I turned off my communicator and a small team left the base. As I was leaving the base, I couldn't help but notice a set of particular armor. "Huh, is that Mandalorian armor?" "Why yes it is." "Hm, do you mind if I—?" "Knock yourself out." I made some adjustments to the armor and my Jedi robes. I place the armor pieces over my robe. Including my arms, chest and, shoulders. I decided to not include the helmet for my own reasons and followed Quora and the rest of her troops.
