I crashed into the meeting late. I had been down at the crime lab  and I was the last one here, everyone was staring at me and it was very awkward. Not that I cared I was on to something and I was bursting with excitement.

"Sorry I'm late but you're gonna worship me, with my story." I brag "No match. My guy in the crime lab never seen one before." I showed him the bullet. Perry snatched it off me.

"It's called a bullet you shoot people with them." Perry retorted handing it back

"But is every bullet recovered from the scene of the firefight in the desert. This is not sold commercially anywhere in the world, not even the market." Perry shrugged not giving me anything which aggravated me. How could he not see the story in this?

"So?"

"So, who the hell gives prototype military grade rounds to warn torn fighters in the Sahara?" i sing, trying to emphasise my point.

"Just ask him Aria." Lois sighed and I looked back at her and also noticed Clark. Ah

"Flight to D.C. For a few days." he thought about it "Oh come on you know you want to." he sighed

"go. coach, no extra legroom." he agreed

"Economy plus got it!" I rated my hand as i exited, the conference room

"I said Coach." he yelled back and went to book my flight to leave this evening. Once that was done I returned home. Only to be met with a scowling Clark.

"Aria."

"Nope. You give me the talk about dangerous situations I will find a shovel and hit you with it on principal." I headed into the bedroom grabbing a case and stated packing

"But it is."

"It's a few nights in D.C. I will be with my Dad talking, doing my job. This is not the Sahara Desert." I retorted

"Look how that ended." he grumbled and I stopped and walked over to him taking his arms

"Clark, you need to chill. Right now it's a harmless conversation. Save the scowling for when it's needed." I kissed him and wrapped my arms around his neck . He returned meting into my embrace.

-Washington D.C-

I found my father in washing his hands in the men's toilet. I entered my heels clacking against the floor.

"This is the men's room. Ma'am." he commented not looking up.

"Hi, Daddy." he jumped turning around sharply as I smirked at him and gave him a small wave. I adjusted my handbag on my shoulder.

"Aria, what the hell!" He huffed

"Not the welcome i was expecting but, I'll take it." I shrug  and lean against the wall. He humphed and went to dry his hands.

"So are we doing the small talk first like your mother or are you wanting to get straight to the point of why you chose to corner me in the men's bathroom." he folded his arms and raised his eyebrow.

"Is the US  providing experimental military firearms to rebels in Africa?" I questioned making him chuckle.

"You know you have your mothers stubbornness to not let things but you got your ballsiness from me. You should be walking these halls too. Where's your source from this time, a guy with a tin foil hat?" He walked out

"Dad, I'm serious. You heard about what happen in Africa, right?" I questioned

"Yeah, one of your boyfriends is in big trouble, young lady." He pointed at me condescendingly

"Fuck you." I took out the small bag and showed it to him "I found this bullet, in the aftermath of the Superman incident. Now experts at the Pentagon  can't ID it. We haven't been told the truth." He sighed

"Aria, here's the truth. You went somewhere you should have for your latest story. Then your boy toy acted like some rouge combatant to rescue you and people died. Not that I'm not grateful your still here being the loving yet pain in my ass sometimes, daughter. But inventing a conspiracy theory to put back his halo, is not going to work."

"This is not a conspiracy theory. Look I know we haven't always had the best relationship and at times it can be a bit strained. But I am just trying to get to the bottom of this, not everyone in the government is like you, these hearings are all for show, they have a lousy hidden agenda to frame Superman and I will be damned if I let that happen. So I am going to dig and dig and dig till I get to the bottom of this, you can either be straight with me or block me and I will knock you down a peg, because you maybe a big hotshot now but I'm still your daughter with an attitude." I folded my arms

"Let me see what I can ask about?"

"Thank you." I walked out and back to my hotel. I called Clark to check in, only so he wouldn't go all Superman and do something stupid. He was already in hot water as it was.

"So did you speak to your Dad? How did it go?" he wondered as I heard shuffling on the other end.

"As well as you'd expect. He maybe my Dad, but I know his weakness. He cannot for the life of him stand family confrontation." I say looking out of the window "Give him a mission any day, he can knock you down, but a ranting daughter. He can't handle."

"That's my girl." he joked.

"Your hilarious." I grunted "You know he made the comment about me having two boyfriends.   Anyway what are your plans for occupying yourself?"

"I am attending an event that Lex Luther is hosting. Well I'm gate crashing." he answered

"Lex Luther, god I hate that guy." I groaned

"Is there anyone you don't hate?" he chuckled and I could imagine him shaking his head

"Yes, plenty. You just happen to bring up the worst. Lex Luther owes me an exclusive and $20 for a bet that I couldn't guess his security code. In fact  speaking of men I cannot stand, if Bruce Wayne is there tell him narcissistic son of a bitch and...never mind." i cut myself  off getting carried away.

"I will do that. Look I have to go but, be safe. I love you"

"I will and I love you too, bye Clark." I hung up
