Day 1
I stared blankly at my hot coffee while the morning sun kissed the half of my face. Good thing I am wearing my sunglasses kaya hindi nasisilaw ang mga mata ko kahit papaano. Yun nga lang mukha ata akong tanga. Sino bang tao ang masusuot ng sunglasses sa loob ng McDonalds tapos umupo pa sa talagang nasisikatan ng araw? At ang sakit sakit pa ng ulo ko. Sobra. Araw araw ko naman to nararanasan kaya nga hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi pa ako sanay.
“Ma’am, here are your pancakes, fries and sundae.” Napakurap ako nang may nagsalita bigla sa harapan ko. When I looked at her, she already started transferring them on my table. I sighed. Inalis ko na rin ang glasses ko.
“Thank you.” Walang emosyon kong sagot.
“May kailangan pa po ba sila, ma’am?” Nakangiti pa nitong tanong.
“Wala na.” Tipid kong sagot. Hindi ko na narinig pang sumagot. Most probably she raised her brows at me because of the way I answered her. Hindi pa ba sanay ang mga tao dito? Sa loob ng tatlong buwan, halos araw-araw na nga akong nandito.
Habang kumakain ako, naramdaman ko ang pag-vibrate ng cellphone ko. I chose to ignore the call when I saw my mom’s name on it. I rolled my eyes and continued eating my fries instead. Dagdag pa sila ni daddy na hindi nasanay sakin. Almost three months of this mess and yet hindi pa rin sila sanay.
It took another 10 missed calls before they stopped bugging me with their calls. I sighed. Why do they keep on doing that? I told them what I want and they can’t even trust me and leave me alone.
I was about to dip my fries in my sundae when I noticed that someone was staring at me across . He was stirring his hot coffee as he stared at me. He was wearing a white sando, which fits him very well, labas na labas ang toned muscles nito. His hair was messy. Maya maya pa ay ngumisi ito sakin. Inirapan ko nga! Okay, he looks hot pero iba ang dating eh. Parang mayabang na arogante.
It won’t really take enough reason to hate somebody, right? Pwede naman na ‘yung simpleng nabwibwisit ka lang talaga sa presence nya. Pwede na yun.
Ugh! Why am I even wasting my time on him? I don’t even know his name. Not that I want to know his name.
I sighed and just kept on eating.
