A week before Christmas...
It was a cloudy day in Paris, but the vibe was so jolly that it felt like a winter wonderland. People walked in and out of stores, Santas were ringing bells and taking pictures, lights illuminated the streets, and smiles could be seen all around.
Y/N: 'I guess without much snow around, everyone's in a particularly good mood.' You think while observing the crowds for the rooftops as Falcon Rouge. 'Looks like this Christmas is going to be spectacul-'
???: *angrily* "Dolls? I hate dolls! I hate toys! They're for babies!" You hear a child kick his backpack to the ground, scattering a bunch of toys.
Y/N: "Sheesh. Was that from Marinette's? Guess she's babysitting. Maybe I'll go over and see if she's alright."
You fly down into an alley and scan the area before detransforming.
Tala: "What's up, kid? Shouldn't we be patrolling"
Y/N: "Change of plans, I'm going to Marinette's for a bit. Then we'll go on our late morning patrol."
Tala: "Fine by me."
He flies into a pocket of your new winter outfit.

Y/N: "Who knew this puffy red coat plus the black turtleneck and pants would keep me so warm and stylish? Oh, wait, me." You smile and take a deep breath before walking across the street and jogging towards the bakery.
Meanwhile, in Marinette's room...
The kid Marinette was babysitting just happened to be Chris, Nino's little brother.
