In the pages of "My Journey with Christianity," I unraveled my escape from the confines of religion, my quest to break free from dogmatic rules and outdated traditions. I discovered that for many Christians I met, their faith appeared bound by these limitations, and those who dared to see the world differently were met with judgment.

At the age of 21, I was on a path of self-discovery. While I remained a student of life, I began to shed the shackles of guilt that had once plagued me. Yet, a fresh challenge arose—to cleanse my mind and heart of the echoes of religious teachings that lingered like distant whispers from the past.

In response, I chose to keep my intuitive gift hidden, a secret shared with only a select few. I believed that I needed to first master the art of putting myself first and healing the wounds from my past. My intuitive abilities were reserved primarily for my closest friend, Sam. His relentless encouragement pushed me to embrace this extraordinary gift, and in my best friend's unwavering belief in me, I found a powerful reminder of my true identity.

Now, why do I recount this chapter of my life?

When embarking on a journey to connect with your intuition, it's imperative to confront your personal baggage head-on. I'm talking about those buried traumas, lingering scars, and the heavy emotional baggage that demands acknowledgment. As we pledge to heal and forge ahead, we make space for the next exciting chapter of our lives. The old chapter closes, but sometimes we become ensnared in the allure of our pain, trapped in a victim mentality that confines us. Let me emphasize, this doesn't empower us—it restricts us. These may be words you've heard before, but it's paramount to address your past before plunging into the profound depths of your soul.

Moreover, this emotional baggage and lingering toxicity can shroud our intuition, casting a shadow on its clarity. Trying to connect with your inner voice while carrying unresolved emotional burdens is akin to driving a car with a sputtering engine or playing a piano with keys out of tune. In the long run, it becomes infinitely harder to listen to your intuition without the vital steps of mental and emotional cleansing and the healing of past wounds.

The journey of dealing with your baggage is a process, and it doesn't mean you have to wait until every issue is neatly resolved before using your intuition. Life inevitably throws new challenges our way. Seek therapy or assistance when needed; remember, your mental health is of utmost importance.

As we purify our psyche, we also fortify our character as human beings, unlocking the door to greater heights. This process of mental and emotional detox not only serves our well-being but is also crucial for our intuition.

Additionally, consider embarking on a physical detox journey—a fast can do wonders for your body and mind. If you're new to fasting, start small—perhaps fasting from noon to 6 pm or experimenting with a Daniel fast, focusing on fruits and vegetables for a designated period. The choice of fasting method is yours to make.

Furthermore, be mindful of your consumption of alcohol, processed foods, refined sugars, caffeine, and other stimulants. Overindulgence in these products can hamper both your physical and mental performance, making it challenging to connect with your intuition.

Learn to tune in to your body's signals and heed its needs. Address the issues mentioned in a way that resonates with you. If you stumble along the way, remember, it's all part of the journey—no need for harsh self-criticism. Keep moving forward, relax, and bear in mind that as you heal, your connection with your inner voice will become clearer and more profound.

And so, the tale continues. I hid my gift, occasionally avoiding its use, pushing it to the back of my mind. Until one morning...
