Atticus

To the north

Darticus begins his journey to the North . He rides through the snow clad mountains . The way was cleared for him by the Marakese as best as they could . The path led to the summit and then the path went downwards . Darticus reaches the summit , soaking in a bit of the sun .The sun rays touching him after a long time gave him a pleasant feeling . He turns back to the cave that housed and him .  He was surprised and a for a very brief moment happy . He could see the settlement of the Marakese . For the first time he saw the settlement of the people that truly cared for him . It was beautiful, the houses in the midst of the big mountains with snow flowing over . He could see some of the Marakese wave at him
Darticus waves back at them and starts to ride down the path . More determined than ever to protect the forests, his lands .
He rides through the day and finally reaches the plains from the mountains .

THE NORTH

Large settlements lay all over the land . Yet very scattered . Poverty was slowly being alleviated . There were smiles on the faces of children . The adults were wary as always , much like the rest of the land . There was no snow here . The forests were pristine . The only thing that seemed to separate the North from the rest was their clothing . It was still made of animal skin primarily . And there snarked leaders all over the land , considerably larger than the others . Also they wore skulls of larger carnivores on their head . Their greatest kill , supposedly . The houses were bigger than those of homes of Darticus and not as good as those of the Algried . And as far as Wilmir goes , no one could really understand what happened there . It was the supernatural and the unnatural that existed there . Whether they needed houses to live on or simply never slept was not known at this point . Smaller settlements with smaller houses were giving rise to bigger settlements with bigger houses . And then suddenly a gate appears . Even the horses snared at the sights of strangers . The guard barbarians were ready to break your bones at the slightest disturbance . But this time the guards and the horses did not dare to move an inch . They simply moved as the king made his way in . The gates opened well in advance , there was no need to break in . There was respect even though their terms were not at the best .
A few top ranking soldiers gave him a tough stare , but softened their stance once he began to get closer . And there was a big thatched house covered in Algried oak . It's glimmer shine a mile away . It was in the middle of the Settlement . The stars suggested so . And as per the belief of the People of the North , it was the centre of the planet . There was a huge man standing by the gates of the palace . Wearing a skull of a Siberian tiger .
Come in , he greeted the king
They proceed to walk in
We waited a long time for your arrival , said General Klick
The snow came in early , said the king
Yes , that was very unexpected . Said klick unapologetically
Oh , you are here at last . Emerged a ladylike figure from the stairs
It must have been an arduous journey and you must be very tired .The queen continued
Quite the opposite Queen Angela , replied Darticus
Actually I'am more refreshed than ever
That is indeed nice to hear
Klick appears to smirk in the corner ,
The queen looks over to him , so does Darticus
This way he says pointing them over to the dining hall
This is quite the spread , says Darticus as the three of them get seated .
A big white sparking chandelier hung above their heads . If one was to stand up on the table it would surely hit their head . And the ceiling was 30 meters high
Nice place , remarked Darticus . Unimpressed by the decor . Nor did he seem to care about the big grin on the queens face
Darticus began to chomp down on his food , so did the rest of them follow .
Are you not impressed by our prosperity ,questioned Klick . All you care about is the meat .
Shhh , said the Queen to her General
No that is quite alright Angela , said Darticus . I'm quite hungry and that is all I care about now . The meat .
And for your prosperity General , is it really yours or the belongings of someone else .
Klick did not say a word , he continued to tear into the meat . Like the animal he was
My apologies once again , said Angela . He has replaced his manners with swords and spears . That is all he knows
Same could be said of my General , in a way . Replied Darticus
We know the happenings of the kingdoms , and we are aware of the threat that could arise . Said the Queen
War precisely , replied Darticus
The North has been cut off , for a long time from the kingdom . Continued the Queen
And there is a good chance that the kingdom does not attack us .

The queen shook her head in dismay .
Darticus looks over at the direction of the General
He nods in agreement
