The Next day at the police station

Morning , at Dawn

 Atticus and Philippe meet at the police station . They are waiting at the door for Alex to arrive . 

Your girlfriend does not want to accompany you ? asked Philippe

Unfortunately not . She has some important work that she has to get done . So she has decided to stay back . Replied Atticus

We can find a suitable partner for you in the kingdom , said Philippe with a straight face . 

That's how it works in the kingdom . asked Atticus 

Actually that is a rule . replied Philippe

Atticus stared at Philippe

Philippe left out a huge laughter . Putting his hand on the shoulder of Atticus in a friendly manner

Atticus who tried to maintain a straight face , finally started laughing too . Finally the first time the ice was broken between the two of them 

As their laughter was slowly fading away . Alex arrived at the police station in his vehicle . 

He parked his car and approached the two of them . 

Are you both ready ? he asked them 

Yes , replied the both men . 

Where are the horses ,Mr. Alex . asked Philippe

Well Philippe , Atticus called me last night . He said he was not comfortable riding a horse for such a long period of time .

Did he not inform you too ? Asked Alex

Before Philippe could say anything , Atticus interrupted . I was about to inform you Philippe , but something important came up . 

I suppose we can make an exception this time . After all you are the coming at the request of the king 

Alex tossed over the keys to Atticus . The cars your he said . There is some money for gas in the top drawer . Alex gave the instruction to Atticus 

What about the desert , asked Philippe . How do we cross it . We surely cannot cross it with a vehicle . 

Atticus , there is also a map with the direction to the kingdom . Again in the drawer . You follow the map and you can totally avoid the desert 

A map ? asked Philippe in a curious manner . 

I got it from an old friend . Replied Alex

This is farewell then , said Philippe . Hope we meet soon

We shall , replied Alex 

Atticus too said his goodbyes and and the both of them took leave

They get in the car , a right hand drive . Standard procedure in all the districts

Atticus get behind the wheel and they drive away 

To the kingdom

Its going to be a long drive , asked Philippe as he hands over the map to Atticus

Yes , said Atticus even without looking at the map

As they are about to leave the districts , Atticus gets a phone call . 

It is Ana , says Atticus . 

Hello Ana , says Atticus . 

The conversation continues , sitting next to him was Philippe who was not too bothered by the call

Atticus turns to Philippe , She wants to come with us 

Philippe responds . That goes well with me 

The car takes a swift turn and makes its way to the apartment of Ana

Meanwhile .....

Alex takes all the documents required and loads it into his bag . He puts the keys in his pockets and heads outside his office . He waits by the corridor and then enters a official jeep . A jeep intended to transport Alex to district 5 where he was needed immediately . Alex gives his bag to the driver and takes his seat at the back . 

The driver loads up the bag in the car and takes his seat behind the wheel .  

The car leaves the station . 

Sir , said the driver

I was ordered to pick up another senior officer who resides in the districts before we make our way to district 5

Another officer , asked Alex . Who just may that be 

I do not know sir , I was just given the pick up location . replied the driver

Ok . Do your job . Replied Alex

The jeep makes its way to the location of the official . Quite quickly as there was no traffic on the roads 

After 15 minutes , the jeep arrives at the location of the official . 

A 15 stores building which seemed to be newly constructed with glass walls occupying the façade of the building . It was grand in every sense of the word , not those narrow buildings or extremely tall buildings .It was square and its length and width and height were proportionate . 

There is a movement at the doorway to the entrance , a revolving door swivels making way for a man in a  grey suit . The man makes his way to the jeep

Must be a high ranking official , thought Alex . But what building is this ? what office is this . I have never seen this office in my time here . Many questions entered the mind of Alex

The approaching officer was bald , around 6 feet 5 inches tall and 280 pounds in weight . A total contrast to Alex . The official entered the car from the right .

Alex noticed the mans ears were attached to his head . 

Right hand drive , the man sighed

Alex , the stout man introduced himself 

Sergey . the big man introduced himself 

Chief of police , Alex added

Chief of investigations , Districts . CID in shirt Sergey too added

Without wasting any more time . Sergey took out his laptop from his bag that he was carrying and started to get deep in his work

Alex looked out the window as they were soon about to leave the district
